Based on off season weight, frame, power, historic

Then no need for weight cuts, healthier athletes and a better show for us (that is what matter).

Fighters could be moved thru categories if the seem he is getting bigger or weaker...
Fighter could ask to be in another category and avaliated by this comission if they agree...

What do you think?

Great idea. That would be good.

The problem would be, by the time they test the B sample everyone will be fighting once a year or suspended indefinetly

This sounds so obvious, so simple, that there's got to be something wrong with it.

But man, I can't find it. I like it.

what i think you might be saying is that if two guys weight 175 & 180, you'd rather see them fight at a full power 170 than after a 155 weigh-in.

same guys, same fights, less weight cutting. and of course the 170lb guys (who may weight 190-200) are now fighting at 185.

if so, i agree.

Seems like bullshit. How do they know what is healthiest for the fighter? Some guys handle losing weight better than others, some like to bulk up in the off time, it's just not practical. The fighters know their body's better than the commission. Plus you include power where does that put someone like Dodson? He's got crazy power for his size but would get mauled by wrestlers at a higher weight

yeah then corruption gets involved and we no longer get to see fighter X vs. Y

no thanks ..just do better for weight cutters .. make them fight more natural weight !!

How about a weight bonus ?

If you weigh in officially throughout camp then you get a weigh in bonus !! Fight at 155 and weigh in at 165 throughout camp you earn extra $$ !!

YOu can't objectively determine in which weight class a fighter belongs to with subjective measurements like "frame" let alone power what does powe rhave to do with weight class?

The objective measurmenet is weight and the way to stop weight cutting is what One FC is doing and do hydration tests before the weigh in. And that's even simpler and probably cheaper than a commision arguing based on random stats

I feel that each fighter should have a certain weight they must be at by the time fight week comes, say within 10 pounds of the weight class limit. Then say 5 days before hand the fighters lead coach has to give a mandatory report on how the weight cut is going. Even if a UFC official checks personally.

That way if a fighter is not on course to making a healthy weight cut it can be caught before hand and give a replacement fighter AT LEAST 5 days to prepare to fill in.

OR have this apply to only past offenders that missed weight.
