Social What hobbies have you just picked up recently?

Bought a 13' Boston Whaler for some bass fishing. Spent a lot of time on the water with kids this summer.

Got pretty heavy into RC rock crawlers the last few years as well.
Hell yea. I have some rock crawlers myself even though we don't have rocks lol. I've got some stones we use but I also waterproof them so we can mud and rinse them with a hose. It's good fun. I have an OG SCX10 Honcho, rc4wd tf2, a chinese knockoff trx4, and several 1/18 & 1/24 scales.

Nice! I too have an RC4WD TF2, the 1982 Yota body. Awesome rig. I haven't done any aftermarket stuff to it, just stock right now.

Built a couple of ground up custom 1/18 jobs from Injora aftermarket parts recently too. Viper brushless in one, Traxxas brushless in the other. Both are beautiful builds (all aluminum, brass, carbon fiber components) and run well.

I have some natural slate stone formations in back of my property that are absolutely perfect for scale rock crawling. Good times!

Not really anything new but during summer and fall i smoke a lot of st Louis ribs, beef ribs, salmon, pulled pork and chicken. Every week I smoke pounds of something and have it for lunch and dinners. Salmon goes over rice and in quesadillas, pork and beef ribs by themselves w potato salad, pulled pork sandwiches and over rice, and chicken in sandwiches, rice, and quesadillas. Colorado really sucks for BBQ. So I make my own

This for me too. Except I have no family, so no taste testers or dish washers. So if I make something mediocre, I have to suffer through a lot of it.

Lol, I'm still on the hook for eating shitty tasting leftovers. I hate throwing away food, I didn't grow up in a house where that was common so I'll make my own mistakes disappear.

Nice dude! That yota looks sick as hell. Mine was solid red and I've painted it a few different colors. It had to be around 2014 sometime when I got mine. I've also had good experiences with injora parts on my smaller rigs. Happy trailing bud

I recently got back into TTRPG. I'm on the couch for a few weeks so I may binge a few shows and write some articles for a friend's site.

I like to cook but need two arms for that usually.

Haven't had much time for hobbies, but the closest thing is a passive revived interest in photography with my main interest is taking photos of my kids sports. I still haven't though. Besides a soccer practice where I was mainly testing out a few things I have yet to take my camera gear to a game. I plan to do so next weekend though. With that being said I just don't have much free time for hobbies. Between a dual working household and family life it's tough especially with no family around, 2 kids that do a lot of extracurricular activities/sports while having high academic standards/expectations. Not to mention finding quality time to spend with my wife. Luckily my work is flexible with my time and I can even workout at work. My wife also works at the same hospital so we eat lunch together and then go for a walk everyday. If I had a strict schedule with no flexibility I just couldn't do it.

I recently bought a house that needs work, so im basically starting a mature age apprenticeship.

Learning lots of new skills.

Kinda fun but damn hard work.

I've learned dissimilar metal corrosion is a thing. I used to just assume go with stainless steel for no rust and strength.
