Millions of others across the world do it just fine. If I were to move to a completely foreign country, I'd be making my best effort to learn the basics of that language in preparation for moving, not move and worry about the language later. No ones asking them to be fluent, just have the basics down.

Minority is just a label for poor people. Asians aren't seen as minorities, Middle and upper class Latinos aren't minorities. Here in Florida we have a huge Latino middle class and the victim label never applies to them, even in poor communities. This idea needs to be eradicated.

You're working under the assumption these people have an entitlement to live here. They don't.

And the people I'm referring to don't leave family, the people I'm referring to are brought to the UK to join family and in Muslim communities the women face a real integration problem as a lot of the time their husbands don't want them to learn English, lest it fuck up their patriarchal system (don't want them women getting funny ideas about freedoms and independence)

Nobody asked them to come here, there are plenty of countries they pass through to reach the UK. The UK is at maximum capacity and has been for about 15 years, and we certainly have no room for hanger ons who refuse to learn a very basic language, especially when there are migrants who have a willingness to integrate and learn (or already know) the language.
