Gender studies are certainly about the pursuit of knowledge, even if in addition to the empowerment of its female students. If you were less defensive and reactionary about how you perceive the world, I believe that you'd find that gender studies, though varying based on what subset you're talking about, can be extraordinarily helpful in understanding the world better and both shaping and informing new understanding as well as strengthening existing understandings.

Are you then educated in the hard sciences? What exactly have you made time for if understanding the cultural and historical human elements that have supplied (and inhibited) advances in "real" scientific understanding is not worthy of being fit into your schedule?

Also, for a good example of how social science can lend itself towards less social scientific ends: I once had a Corporate Law professor who, in addition to her Harvard Law degree, had an interesting combination of undergraduate degrees in Economics (may have been Business) and Gender Studies. She used her knowledge from the latter to better acclimate, adjust, and manipulate the very-cooperation-based (but also completely male-dominated) corporate world. That allowed her to serve on many prestigious Fortune 500 boards and she has since started a scholarship and educational program for women wanting to go into Corporate Law. So, just so we're clear, taking classes in social science (my major during my undergraduate was Sociology with minors in Criminal Justice and History) does not mean you'll be an instructor or activist.

1. Yea, I'm a chemist. And no, social sciences aren't science. The reality is biology is simplified principles of chemistry. Chemistry is simplified principles of physics. But when you work your way down the hierarchy to psychology... ok, yeah some legitimacy is there. We can do repeatable studies, but its a little squirrely. But when you work your way down to sociology or god forbid gender studies... well these clowns don't have a leg to stand on. It's all an ink blot test for these folks.

I find it unlikely they will be allowed to become a majority. Politicians are not dumb, they know that once they become a majority they will not need the current politicians anymore and will elect their own.
A good example is what happened in the UK. Scotland was dominated by Labour with their usual pandering to minorities, it worked very well until the Scots decided Labour was too British and against independence and voted in 2015 overwhelmingly for the SNP.
Now, the american system is different and it's harder for a third party, but I wouldn't be surprised if down the line a hispanic/mexican party comes on and takes the vote out of the democratic party.

This is hilarious considering what just happened. The threat to Western values is not coming from minorities. Trump explicitly rejected Western values and won the presidency (and minority groups were a large part of the pro-American opposition). And other politicians in the West have tried the same (Le Pen, Farage, etc.).

Fascism is very much western. It was created in Italy and refined in Germany.
Even if you talk about the USA only it was an extremely violent country founded by slave owning planters and was pretty much closed to non-white immigration until 1965, except if you consider slavery as a form of migration. Acceptance of all races and nationalities is a modern trend that might as well not last for long in the big picture.
Also you're delusional if you think these minorities care about the western values you talk about, which I assume to be liberalism. It's just that while you're a minority it's much better to live in a liberal place than an authoritarian one.
As a thought experiment, you're a muslim fanatic, do you prefer to live in Norway or China? In an authoritarian place like China it's way more likely you will get locked up or straight up disappear while in Norway you can live on government benefits, travel to Syria, kill some infidels and go back and get a slap on the wrist.

Ayn Rand is from a dying breed of the right wing. She helped spawn the modern libertarian movement, which can realistically gather around 3% of the vote in the US and almost nothing in Europe.
The current right would most likely gas her and send her to Israel with her anti-nationalistic rhetoric(except for Israel), defense of egoism and globalization(I might be wrong on that last one but that's the feel I had from hearing her).
