My brother was a professional oboe player from early teens to his 30's.

He was in one of the major Australian Orchestra's.

He also competed in competitions & was one of the best young players in Australia.

He hated what he did & quit the music industry eventually 5 years ago. Major life change.

I commend him for that & for you if it didn't work out like you wanted.!

Most likely you could just throw him down, no man likes the idea of being helpless and many of all ages are delusional. My mentor was still wrestling around and brawling in his seventies and there were times when I or someone else had to help him out. He owned a store and would not hesitate to stop shoplifters.
