It's hard to judge WMMA because its basically still in it's infancy. Consider UFC has only had women fights for 5 or 6 years now.. so the women divisions right now are where the men were back around 2000, its not gonna be clear who the real female GOATs are for many years still (and after many more women are brought into UFC), although its pretty clear now Nunes has to be one of them.

I still think she got robbed in her first fight with Joanna, but that's just me.

That first fight was a fun close fight. I think maybe her failure to hold down Joanna on the take-downs hurt her on the decision. But it definitely could have went either way depending on how judges value TD's versus striking.

When did she ever have good cardio? Chick always gassed by round 3 dating all the way back to her first fight with JJ. That’s her biggest issue, to much muscle for 115.

She recently lost a decision to Nina Ansaroff... Nina. Ansaroff. I don't think anybody considers her to be one of the best strawweights imo.

Up until her decision loss to Jessica Andrade, Gadelha had great cardio, she could push her exhausting pace for 3 rounds, and even had 2 great rounds against Jedrzejczyk, until she faded. But she still had good cardio for the first few rounds. And in 2017 she was riding a win over Courtney Casey into a fight with Karolina Kowalkiewicz, whom she defeated by first round submission.

Then she fought Jessica Andrade and got beat up over three rounds.

She struggled and even got dropped by Esparza, despite winning the decision and she then fought Nina Ansaroff. She won the first round after a takedown (honestly cannot remember), but then she proceeded to get picked apart by sloppy and mostly lacklustre striking techniques by Ansaroff (who is going to get smashed by Suarez).

Gadelha used to be a really good contender and even second best at SW, back in 2016. Now she can barely last one round without gassing and losing fights she wouldn't have a few years ago. Did Brian Ortega break her?

I ask myself this same question everyday.

She looked like the best SW in the world after she obliterated KK in the first round.

I even thought she was the one woman in the sport 125 and under who could give Shevchenko some problems if they fought @ Flyweight. Thought Claudia would beat Joanna in the trilogy, maybe rack up a few defenses, and then she'd meet Shevchenko in another Champ x Champ superfight.

Unfortunate that she could never fix her cardio issue, but then again every single fighter has an issue they'll never correct whether it be their chin, TDD, power etc. Not everyone can be perfect in every aspect like Jones.

She'll still always be a tough challenge for the other women in her division, and still one of my favorite WMMA fighters to watch though.

Additionaly not really many fans care about her skill but rather look, so she is instawhoring making some decent money probably, good for her.
On other hand you can check Joanna's IG and how many likes she got depending what kind of photo she posted, because she mixing things up.
