What happened to all the real men?

I mean you got everyone from Ngannou, to Jones, to Cejudo, etc… all these champions and world beaters crying for more money on twitter and social media.

What happened to just sitting down with the boss face to face and talking straight man to man?

Airing your dirty laundry on social media not only makes them come across as whiny and pathetic, but it also seems counterproductive to what they’re trying to accomplish. Dana White comes across as a stubborn fuck that holds grudges and doubles down when you try to make him look bad so it seems that every time they do it they reduce their own chance at coming to an agreement.

If you don’t think your current boss appreciates you and doesn’t pay you enough, then go work elsewhere.

What’s that? Oh you signed a contract and you’re expected to fulfill your end of the bargain? Welcome to the real world, that’s what men do, follow through with the terms they’ve agreed to.

I don’t like Dana and I like to shit on the UFC as much as the next guy, but every time I see one of these snowflakes whining about how many millions they’re worth on social media it just makes me less interested in seeing them fight.

<{danayeah}>
What kind of man doesn't want more money and should sit there and be a quiet bitch about it?

They"re contractors as per Dana White yet he can stop said contractors from taking other work. UFC! UFC! UFC!

They expire 5 years (used to be 10) after they retire, with a six month testing window after the fact.

Henry and Jones retired, and are still under contract. They are not released.

Francis, has not retired, or been released.

Do you have a copy of the contract ? I believe it’s for x amount of fights. And the time limit only kicks in if you don’t fulfill your fight quantity obligation

Used up all my "likes" but pretty much hit the nail on the head here

I believe their contracts actually expired

francis has a contract that he signed - why would they release him from his contract ? his manager negotiated and accepted the terms

He can fulfill it just like every other human being in every other industry and move on once his obligations are over
That's what he's doing by fighting Gane, hence the comments he's made about not re-signing if they don't let him box.

When you don't have a union you got yo do something to try and gain some leverage.

No, you are incorrect and asking for understanding. This isn't new information.

What you are trying to describe is a secondary bout agreement
(not their signing agreement with the UFC, which is attached to their first contract and carried over in perpetuity... and keeps them locked into re-signing. follow the lawsuits)

and how'd they get locked into that contract again?

I think the problem is just like every other term contract both sides take a form of risk

ie) sign for 5 fights(3 guaranteed )for 400,000 which signs reasonable upon time of execution

And when the circumstances go the fighters way they feel like they’re entitled to renegotiate for whatever reason because the deal isn’t to their liking based on the current circumstances

Do you understand what “he signed a contract” means?

Peasant is what a peasant does, bottom feeder
I don’t know what that means, do you have a counter argument for what I posted or do you just wanna stay triggered and call me names?

Not if you're a champion or enter into a title fight.

You're talking like they let champs quit with the belt and fight in Bellator.
They quit (retire) but the UFC owns them forever.

The closest was D.J., who lost and the division was about to be retired.
Ultimately the UFC wanted to phase out DJ because he didn't have a big following.
He was literally traded ... the first time in UFC history.
Think about it, he wasn't even "naturally" released.

No real men join in on internet battles ( mostly irrelevant to them in reality) between nerds and smoke them all with their manly argumentation and elite humorous witticisms (while wielding a giant cock)

Real men come on here to look and laugh at all the stupid schizo arguments users have on here.

It clearly worked for Randy Couture when he wanted to fight Fedor ...
