What happened to Al Laquinta ?

Leon is still ranked, he got it back when he signed on to face Khamzat.
Not sure if anyone is really clamoring to see an Iaquinta fight right now so maybe he slipped under the radar

I think there’s still demand for what Raging Al brings to the table. Getting beating so decisively by Cerrone and Hooker certainly wasn’t good, as his calling card before that seemed to be that win or lose he was the guy who would give anyone a good scrap, especially coming off that great Kevin Lee comeback. But there’s definitely room in the division for a veteran guy who scraps and is pretty good on the microphone. I don’t see why he couldn’t settle in as a more colorful Jim Miller, at worst.

I would certainly make sure I didn’t go to the bathroom for Raging Al versus Bobby Green, Alexander Hernandez, Drakkar Klose. Lando Vanata, etc.,

Yea South Central home prices have steadily been going up over the years. There has been a lot of gentrification and development in that area. New restaurants shopping centers and train lines have added to the median home prices and crime has gone down. LA as a whole though is priced crazy, I live in west LA and single story homes 3bed+2.5 bath are starting over a mill. It’s gotten out of control. I am just blessed that my career treats me well but it worries me about everyone else out here....it’s hard to stay afloat in this city if your not making well over six figures.
West LA is getting crazy. I live in the SGV but a lot of my clientele is the entertainment industry so i'm in the Culver City area a lot. I looked at housing prices around the area just to pass time and was blown away by what they are charging for what was just the hood 3-5 years ago.

I feel bad for anyone who doesn't already own property out here, it's nearly impossible to buy unless you have a cool million in cash just laying around.

No excuse. It's crazy they're throwing islam at rda, meabwhile al iaquinta is just there taking up a precious spot he should have lost after losing to dan hooker. It's bullshit. And sure, leon got his ranking back, but in exchange for khamzat? Plus they humiliated him by doing so as well.

The Leon thing is a separate issue, but who cares who happens to slot where in the back half of the top 15? What fight you get matters more than where you’re ranked. Plus, Al beat Kevin Lee and lost to Hooker (who to most people is ranked 6 or so), to me that lands you solidly around the 8-12 range (because he also lost to Cerrone I would lean towards the back end). Why should guys who haven’t even faced that caliber of opponent yet pass him at this point? I don’t see an issue with letting them pass him once they beat someone at his spot or above.

Sounds like you guys are on the UPs and where I'm at is on the decline. Lots of money in my city, but crime and homelessness rising rapidly. Massive homeless population here, a lot of it is drug use, but also people being priced out of their homes. Area is going to shit to be honest. It's so fucking liberal the local paper will write articles about how it's offensive when the city pressure washes homeless feces off the sidewalk. We apparently are being inconsiderate of the homeless people's feelings and not making them feel welcome because we don't let their shit pile up. I wish I was joking. Commies have ruined this town, and I'll be gone within a years time.

jesus really? What city and what newspaper? That is absolutely insane.

Yea this shit is out of control. Although I will say, this is the land of opportunity out here. It’s 100% a sink or swim city but if you have a good head on your shoulders you can come up in some major ways. I have met more people generating wealth on some of the most random ventures here it never ceases to amaze me. There was a reason everyone headed west to California in 1849 (gold rush) there is Gold to be found here you just need to be active and get after it!

He might be make an MMA comeback once they finish stealing the election and then they plook him and his business with their 62% commy taxes and then set the money on fire for their “programs”

He's won 2 "of the night" bonuses during his entire UFC tenure so I don't think it's fair to include something he's barely ever received as part of his annual salary. Certainly doesn't "regularly get them"....

<JagsKiddingMe>

So? My point still stands. He has a much higher earning potential through fighting

Damn 19 posts in 10 years. Did you come out of a cave to guess what shitty city I live in?
I'm always lurking. I'm a metro driver and it sounded spot on.

He did an interview w/ Helwani a few weeks back, said he will fight early 2021.

Seattle Times. Looks like the times may have pulled their article, but this references the Seattle Times article.

And just for good measure here is another article about people pooping all over one of our flower festivals. We keep it pretty classy up here.

I used to ride the Metro through downtown about ten years ago and there were plenty of crazies back then, and the city has only gotten worse. You must see your fair share of nutty people. A few years back when I was on my way to work at a small firm in downtown and there were cops blocking off a tree with a bunch of people watching. Naturally I had to ask what was so interesting in the tree, and about 40ft up was a crazy person that had been in the tree all night, and at one point was throwing poo at the cops below. Gotta love the action of the city.

He lives in New York. If he sells a home for $1,000,000 and gets a 2.5 percent commission that’s $25,000 per sale.

12 houses in one year is $300,000 USD.

And I don’t think home buyers will punch him in the face.

Does he have to pay the broker out too?

Something weird always going on downtown. First time I drove the bus someone pissed all over the back of the bus and got off at the next stop. I just try to keep my head down and collect my paycheck.
