Filipinos and Samoans are extremely similar ethnically. Most Hawaiians I know identify with Samoa, but are Filipino ethnically. Don't know how pure Samoans feel about that.

Robbie Lawlor looks part something. My guess is that he was 1/4 Black. But I really didn't know. Finding out that his mother is a Filipino makes sense.

As for you taking offense to the question, who appointed you to the PC thought police squad? The TS asked a legitimate question that many of us are interested in for a variety of reasons. So NO! We are not going to drop this!

Filipinos and Samoans are extremely similar ethnically? Being "1/2" Filipino thats news to me. I thought Samoans were linguistically closer to other Polynesians and Filipinos basically just like Indonesians except that they were conquered by two different European empires with two different religious preferences. Same could be said for many Polynesian language speakers. If you are talking physical looks then I dont see how Filipinos and Samoans are similar even if you consider mixing with Europeans. And in terms of diet they arent similar either. Maybe you're referring to Americanized Samoans and Filipinos living in Hawaii which is something else.

I know right, I'm not even old. But it's like... I ( like everyone else ) always looked to pro athletes as older than me, something to inspire or aspire, there was always potential. Now I'm older than all the up and coming superstars of any sport, potential has given way to reality. :(

But Robby must be younger than me. I was in high school when I watched Diaz put him down.
 
He's 2/9 streetfighter, 7/9 experienced Mixed Martial Artist. Oh yeah, and all NEXT WW CHAMP!!!!!
