Social What do you think of plastic surgery?

I have to say I looked in the mirror and was thinking I have had better times. Have been married 15 years and now divorced and the last few years have taken it's toll. Now I am seeing someone younger and I thought let's see on the internet what I can do, but almost the only option is botox. And another suggestion was face yoga, so I took that last option.

I think accepting yourself is better than trying to change things unnaturally, since it will probably never be enough and getting your confidence from something that will change anyway and always can be better, will not work on the long term.

I’m always amazed by the people who just go absolutely over board and look like a train wreck or have zero facial expressions due to it.

Also celebs with tons of money who get garbage tier stuff. Like you have a shit ton of money and connections, why did you get such bad work done.

Some celeb boob jobs are just fucking criminal level bad.

I'd say that most cosmetic plastic surgery is a bad idea. You see these celebrities, who can afford the best money can buy, and the results are still never good.
Outside of correcting legitimate issue or horrible injury, aging gracefully (and staying in shape) seems like the best path.

The one exception would be dental stuff.....they can do amazing things for your teeth nowadays. I'd love to get all my coffee-stained nastiness replaced with pearly white plastic or whatever they use.

Fillers and Botox to me means you’re not comfortable with yourself or aging. Once you get it, you’ll probably continue doing it until
you die. You’re probably going to get other procedures as well and still won’t be happy with yourself.

Work on your personality (we’ve all been rejected before countless of times). I used to train ufc and some fighters weren’t the best looking but they got girls because of their confidence.

Confidence and personality does not make up for looks, though. Neither it gives you vibes or charisma and get you to be a type

What if someone isn’t comfortable? I mean he does Botox or filler to start and then go all over the drastic and permanent changes? If that improves his life, and character what’s negative about it? It costs money and it’s risky, that’s it but I see a much much more viable option than 24/7 gym bulking

I mean, in some sense I don't really care what people do to their bodies, but I also think you're pretty lost if you're taking that path.

The negatives are that you're failing to accept the life and body you've been given, as well as failing to see the inherent beauty of your body. If every engineer and scientist on the planet dedicated themselves to recreating a human hand for the next 20 years, they wouldn't be able to do. You're the most amazing machine in the known universe and you're going to chop yourself up and fill your body with plastic bullshit, for what? To adhere to some made up, idiotic beauty standards? Do your thing, but like I said I think you're pretty damn lost if that's the path you're taking. You'll be a much happier and wiser person if you learn to not just accept yourself but truly see the beauty in yourself, because in doing so you'll begin to see the beauty that is inherent in everyone and everything around you.

I respectfully disagree. The beauty is inherent and you, doesn’t make your frame, facial structure and face more attractive neither helps in being confident and accepting yourself or dating/girls too, actually, you are just deciding to change the only thing that compared to a tattoo and gym, it’s much more evident and direct

The same way I feel about surgery, which is to avoid if at all possible without comprising your long term health.

I have never been ugly or deformed though, maybe I'd consider it if I were less fortunate. I mean I'm no brad pit, averaging, but that's enough to not be self conscious about looks.

It follows that people getting work done, who look similarly average, probably have really negative self image. So I guess most people who get it are basically mentally ill, and we are just supporting that as a society?

What’s negative about it is that you’ll probably become dependent on it where you’ll be unrecognizable in the long run and spend a shitload of money and still be unhappy in the end.

unless you look like Quasimodo, I think you’re good without surgery.

its different from going to the gym because that takes hard work and it’s earned.

Former girlfriend had a nose job. It turned out great imo

This.

Girls can be extremely insecure about their noses, to the point its the only thing they see in the mirror.

If that's the only thing they get done, then that's 100% fine. But the fear is it could be the beginning of a horrible trend.

I posted about this in another thread.

I've had cosmetic surgery to remedy some remnants of previous surgeries I've had. I'm looking at potentially another cosmetic operation, haven't decided yet.

I'm not trying to hang on to my youth, I'm simply trying to correct a couple things and regain some semblance of who I was.

I think people go overboard and it's problematic. Social media compounds the issue.

gym only works for body though not face. Honestly. Also, you can just spend once and make it permanent as a change.

also why not do both together?

I hear what you say but if it made more attractive
to the opposite sex I do it.

I won’t. Gotta build up that personality and confidence to get people attracted to you. Companies want you to think in order to get a chick, you’ll need better cars, clothes, face, etc. number one bullshit bruddah.

I already told you why it’s bad to go surgery route. If you want to go that way, go for it.

I’m all for breast implants but reductions are dangerous and should be illegal. I’ve made whoopy with four chicks with fake tits and they all look great. Plus I’m in flyover country, not some big metropolis.
