What did you think of the background effects at the sphere?

Kind of a neat novelty but nothing more. Probably cooler in person but watching on tv I was just kinda like “Cool now get to the fights.”

I was kinda blown away by the visuals, underwhelmed by the crowd for some reason

I hope they can do more events but not let the visuals get stale, then it will end up a rip off gimmick

I thought it was cool, it worked best when the fighters were coming to the ring. Dont care about the history lessons about mexicans, but the effects in general were really cool. its just too bad that filming the cage the way they do kind of obscures the FX when the fight is actually happening, for the most part but I still enjoyed it, it was like Soul Calibur and everyone knows the more like Soul Calibur something is, the more awesome it is.

Some of the scenes i thought were very cool,
Others I thought were kind of corny.


Liked:

The Roman Collesium dome thing

The "favela" look they did early in the main card

The night time sky effects

Disliked:

The flying thing that looked like a cheap-ish knockoff of a video game or Disneyland's "Soarin" ride

The drone footage inside the venue, I found that disorienting amd sloppy

The prelim backdrop looked very half assed.

Why in the fuck didn't they share SOME of the cool looking shit in promotional footage ahead of the event or during the prelims?
Seems really dumb to intentionally keep their underwhelming appearance up during the time when people were likely to be choosing whether or not to purchase the event (or tickets)

The transitions were great, but they could have done more during the fight. (Something that doesn't distract the fighters completely)

I was watching the boxing card as well and it's not even a competition anymore. UFC product is not in the same universe.
