Crime What did the cops do wrong today Megathread Vol. 6 ? (who knows, lots of cop threads)

Missouri sheriff pleads the fifth during a deposition about a missing man whose body was found in a pond.

It's alleged that the Sheriffs Department knew where the body was and refused to inform the family or other authorities while the search was taking place and that a major in the SD was somehow involved.

The chief of a police department in the same county is also publicly accusing the sheriff of being involved in a cover up.

Sure seems shady, but exercising the fifth amendment is not supposed to be viewed as some kind of admission of guilt. It almost sounds like he is refusing to answer questions because it is an ongoing investigation by another agency. If that is the case, he should phrase it or explain it better. For example “I will be pleading the fifth amendment because it would not be proper for me to make statements while the investigation is being conducted by another agency.” I am not defending his actions, I am playing devils advocate because there is not a whole lot to go on here.

And I would be willing to bet that the police chief holding the press conference is after the sheriffs job. Guaranteed imo.

And is there a cause of death or anything else to this story? Like for example, where is the info that they supposedly knew where his body was for a month? Why would they keep that under their hat-who does it benefit? What is the connection with the major that is allegedly involved?

Edit: this intrigues me so I did a little search and came up with some stuff. Still not much to go on. Unless there is a bombshell being dropped at some time, the police chief is slandering the sheriff and could be sued if this ends up being a nothing burger. I don’t like the sheriff but I want to know more about this-more about the “intimate relationship” more about the alleged coverup and why one would even be done and more about the robbery. I will poke around and see if I find anything else.

Maybe try saying “fuck this cop” instead of demonizing all police?

This is a first amendment infringement for certain and that cop was a butthurt dick

Maybe his supervisor should've reamed him out and told him you did what?!

Nah, instead he ENCOURAGED that butt hurt cop and told him to impound his car and make it worse.

Fuck the police

Cop is a Professional D*ckhead to a guy with a verified brain injury who was just trying to get a boat more secured on the trailer. Completely condescending pr*ck the entire time and gaslights these poor people.

Also, yet another win for Florida.

I saw this on the Civil Rights Lawyer's channel.

The added context about the 911 call makes it even worse.

Douchebag cop said people were complaining about his speed, but they were contacted for assistance and the dispatcher relayed this information.

I'm 100% positive that Cop got bullied in High School

More stories about DUI arrest fuckery.

This Nashville station has been doing an entire series of reports on false DUI arrests in Tennessee. Apparently, Tennessee cops won't breathalyze people on the roadside and will frivolously take them into custody on suspicion of DUI even if they pass the arbitrary sobriety tests. If they're arrested, it takes several months, sometimes close to a year, to get test results back from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to clear the case.

This guy got arrested after passing the sobriety test because the cop knows that one of his relatives smokes weed and hence assumed that he did too.

This old man got arrested after telling the officer that he was shooting pool, and the officer's expert analysis is that sober people don't shoot pool.

Another story about a "DUI specialist" who keeps arresting sober people.

In Albuquerque, the entire DWI unit is under FBI investigation for corruption. A bunch of officers have resigned or been fired.

New stories are still coming out about sober drivers getting arrested in Tennessee.

This elderly guy got arrested for DUI after being forced to do field sobriety tests despite disclosing the fact that he has a neurological condition and has had multiple leg surgeries. He also has a disabled placard for his vehicle.

The charges were dropped after blood test results, but the department is standing by this bullshit arrest because he had trace amounts of prescription drugs in his system that he takes at night and that didn't leave him impaired at the time of the arrest.

The fact that they don't breathalyze in this state and rely exclusively on blood testing is just an excuse to draw these cases out and collect a bunch of fees.

From price hikes, to higher rates of everything, to having to pay tickets and Court costs while not having done a thing illegal, this is how class warfare happens.

This sounds like the old speed trap thing. Just away to make money.

I support giving impaired drivers hell especially repeat offenders but some of this is sounding fishy as hell and a speed trap type thing.

Florida Cop becomes absolutely infuriated when an old man doesnt want to answer where he is coming from or going, yanks him out of the car and arrests him for no reason:

What did we learn?

Cops can commit fraud and claim bogus overtime

Cops can spit on citizens faces and face no consequence

Cops can and do cover for each other (thin blue line).

Why do we as citizens want people in a position of authority that obviously abuse it.

LOL Is Reyes still beefing with that Fahey prick?

This has been going on for years.

He's a persistent mfer for justice and accountability 😂

Only in law enforcement jobs can you get paid a cushy 200k salary after having assaulted someone on camera, repeatedly lol

Finally got around to watching the videos.

This asshole is on record getting nearly $90K in paid overtime working a desk job in an office that's only open 9 hours a day during the working week, and he said it was even more than that when Reyes confronted him about it.

If DOGE were legit, the first set of government employees that they would've gone after are cops who abuse overtime pay.
