Crime What did the cops do wrong today Megathread Vol. 6 ? (who knows, lots of cop threads)

Nobody dislikes cops more than me. but not going to blame them from something they didnt do. This cop footage was spliced into several videos. the original cop video was from something about a child custody case. here is Tizzy, a liberal hero explaining it was bs.

That's disappointing. If this channel did that just for views that's ridiculous, especially because there are lawn guys who HAVE been hassled by Cops and pissed off neighbors.

Here's a good breakdown of how ridiculous this incident was and why the cop didn't even have the right to demand ID from that woman.

Tyrant was so sure that she'd gotten a scammer who was improperly using a handicap placard that she ignored the woman telling her multiple times that she'd dropped an elderly person during the trip, which validated its use and should've ended the interaction in the first minute.

If you can't handle something this mundane without costing the taxpayers money, you shouldn't be wearing a badge.

Lackluster pretty pissed about this, too, and hits on the department lying and a media coverup;

Here’s one that is a tough call. Video starts out with a cop fighting a suspect, who is winning. Suspects punches the cop a few times and takes him down onto the street and punches him in the back of the head. Can’t see where his other hand is or whether it is near his gun. Female cop runs up and shoots the guy in the back. X is arguing whether it was justified or not. At first, I thought no way. Watched it a few more times and I was waffling over him using deadly force against an officer by punching him in the back of the head while on pavement.

Then I watched the whole video one last time and heeard her say “oh shit, I shot him.” She meant to use her taser. She fucked up, which really throws a wrinkle into this. If she had meant to use her firearm to stop this guy from seriously hurting her partner, that is one thing. But she meant to tase him and shot him instead, which is incompetence and another shitbag piece of shit’s family winning millions in the ghetto lottery

If someone is Tackling a cop and hitting them With some solid gnp I’m always going to assume the cops life is at risk. Maybe the dude would pop to his feet and run off, maybe he would smash his skull in or grab for the gun.

That being said as soon as the second officer got there it squared up the odds, and there were more cops coming. Soccer Kicking the dude in the teeth, getting an rnc, using a taser, all still on the table to save the day.

I’d say Justified- but not a good shoot?

Idk. Tough one

how can you say for sure she meant to use her taser simply because she said "oh shit, i shot him!".

Maybe she never shot anyone in the line of duty and it was such an in the moment adrenaline driven situation that caused her to react that way even though it was an intentional use of lethal force?

I do think it seemed awfully quick, but once you start beating up a cop, you kinda threw your own life out the window.

Either way, her surprise calls her actions into question and places her under more scrutiny. She also put her partner at risk because she fired down and the partner was under the guy.

It is certainly interesting to discuss. I lean towards lawful but awful because I think most men are taking that to the physical realm. If it were me, gun never would have entered the equation but for a female cop, it can and does because she is not likely going to be able to subdue him.

As expected, Trump's DOJ shutting down open investigations into problem departments and telling them that they can do whatever they want to.

All around SUX, but any time an officer tells you what to do, ya just do it.

F'n Comply, right or wrong. It's a super simple concept.

Not a tough one my way DT. Civilized people may hate the law but they understand when they break the law there are consequences to be paid.

When a POS square up, the consequences are on that person/s - who ever TF it is.

Local news got the bodycam footage.

They arrested this guy for no reason at all.

Saw two black guys in a Hellcat and assumed that there must've been drugs and/or guns in the car.

It's amazing that they didn't back off when they saw that the driver was an out-of-state cop.

Corrupt, dogshit department.

This is hilarious.

The black supervisor that Tempe PD assigned to do a sham investigation on this case to cover it up is now also going to sue the department for racial discrimination.

When he actually did a real investigation, determined that the cops were wrong and then started requesting data from the bike unit to see if they're targeting black people, he got completely removed from duty.

Two Ventura County, California sheriffs deputies charged with multiple felonies after attacking a security guard outside of a restaurant while off duty.

They took him down and stomped him.

The security guard had tried to stop one of the deputies from beating his wife in public.

Real class acts.

Its unlawful to prevent public Police wife-beating.

Cops literally kidnap woman for trying to get a hamburger. She was walking down the street, they said on the wrong side of the road, stopped her, demanded ID. When she refused they detained her, and when she made a sarcastic comment they forced her to go for a mental health evaluation.

Seriously how egregious are we, as a society, gonna let Cops become in treating people like children?

Surprise, surprise.

The manic cop who went viral for arresting that CVS worker for no reason was trained by those "street cop" assholes.

Missouri sheriff pleads the fifth during a deposition about a missing man whose body was found in a pond.

It's alleged that the Sheriffs Department knew where the body was and refused to inform the family or other authorities while the search was taking place and that a major in the SD was somehow involved.

The chief of a police department in the same county is also publicly accusing the sheriff of being involved in a cover up.
