I found Sherdog through a really obscure MMA forum called CombatFighterZone (RIP). We was all apart of a wrestling forum in 2002, and when I stopped following wrestling in 2003, the MMA section on the wrestling forum were a group of lads who had created their own small MMA forum.

I remember asking on there if there's anywhere I could check fighters records and someone suggested Sherdog. I loved the Fight Finder, was always using it. I lurked the forums for a year or two then decided to join.

I saw an MMA highlight of Hayato Sakurai with Sherdog watermark on it. It's around the time MMA starting to take off with UFC & Pride. Got me curious checking out the site & forum and the rest is history

My father and I watched MMA very sporadically starting with Shamrock/Gracie 2. He was a boxing fan and didn't really care for MMA/UFC. I would look for MMA videos and highlights and saw the SD watermarked a lot. I became a full fledged MMA fan watching Shamrock post WWE fight Tito. Visited the site often but didn't post until 2009. I was what used to be called a TUF noob then.

I remember VHS of early UFC. I remember Ruas chopping down the Polar Bear. I remember Ken and Severn doing nothing for 30 minutes. I remember Tank.

Then I got back into it with TUF and joined.

I used to come on here to watch the UFC weigh-ins before the UFC showed them.
I also used to read the play by play when I couldn't find a Pride stream.

Me and my friends liked wrestling and so got into MMA after watching the spike TV ufc hl show. Don't really care about mma anymore though. Now I just watch boxing and argue with liberal boomers.

Originally it was just MMA results, and probably around 2007 or 2008 I started lurking on the forums. Didn't make an account for a while because I guess I didn't really feel like interacting at that point, just seeing what others were talking about and how others viewed the sport and fighters.

Fedor is still my favorite fighter, and I finally signed up a week before the Werdum fight to start talking about it. And of course I was like so many others, told my girlfriend at the time, "Oh you gotta watch this dude, he's going to wreck this guy," only for Werdum to troll face everyone

Pride which I watched when living in Japan. Then I was in Vietnam on holiday and knew Ken Shamrock was fighting Ortiz at UFC 40. I stumbled across an internet cafe and started looking up the results. Then stumbled across Sherdog.
