What books are you reading?

Oooh, great question.

Fiction, maybe Darth Plagueis. Aliens Phalanx I enjoyed quite a bit too but I think I gotta go with Plagueis.

Nonfiction, probably The Book of Five Rings though I've not read it in years. It's one of the few books I've read more than once.

How about you?
Although it’s generally a true story there is some fiction to it - Tolstoys Hadji Murad, hands down.

And Abdul Hakeem’s English translation of The Quran.

It looks interesting. I may give that a read one of these days.

Also on my list to do is to read various religious texts. Buddhism and Hinduism fascinate me and I've a friend who has a Quran in her house. I have the Tao Te Ching in my Kindle library but I haven't got around to reading it yet.

I have read many translations and this is by far the best

It's the rare pre-Lovecraft cosmic horror book. Really not a sentence you can say often.

I got it today, will start my read tonight.

Was thinking of reading the Hobbitt/Lord of the Rings trilogy next, not sure I want to committ to that long a read, hmmmm?

Just began reading this. It isn't a best seller but good reading so far ~

The Devil in the Garlic: How Sulfur in Your Food Can Cause Anxiety, Hot Flashes, IBS, Brain Fog, Migraines, Skin Problems, and More, and a Program to Help You Feel Great Again

considering its written by a 'telehealth naturopathic oncologist', there's probably good reason for that. fyi, despite him putting 'dr.' in front of his name, he has no medical license or degree. he is a complete quack. "naturopathic doctors" are not doctors.

anyone selling the treatment of CANCER through naturopathy is the devil, not garlic.

I have Aliens Phalanx on audiobook. Haven't started it yet. Is it worth a listen?

A Classic Rock Magazine tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. I don't pick up too many magazines anymore these days but saw this when walking by and had to grab it. Great synopsis and highlights from Sabbath through to solo. RIP Ozzy!

Just finishing off the Horus Heresy.

After that my wife brought me this book back from a cool shop in Howarth.

The world building has been excellent. And I didn't see the end of book 1 coming. I'm a few chapters into book 2. I will probably knock out some more on night shift if it's slow at the hospital tonight.
I'm reading book 3 right now, Children of Memory. Thought it was a good time to finally start that one as a primer for book 4, Children of Strife that comes out in March.

1929 by Aaron Ross Sorkin. It's about the events leading up to the stock market crash that caused the great depression, and the parallels that exist today. I'm only 80 or so pages in, so I haven't really gotten to the meat and potatoes yet.
