This thread...everything that's good is actually bad...

Still better than Civil War.The Winter Soldier isn't as good as people made it out to be.
I thought the writing was really good, but I can't deny the last part of your statement either.
You just described nearly every action movie ever made.Thank you. Nerds go and watch the same movie over and over again. “Omg... omg... can you believe Captain Underoos is gonna make a cameo in the last couple of minutes,( you know, after where the good guys win... like always)... and then he’ll get his own feature movie!?!!!” Where it will literally be the same movie again... bad guy comes to take over the world but nope, it doesn’t happen. How do people watch these movies over and over again?
Jumper was a really cool movie and deserved a sequel.
Honesty Netflix streaming itself is-The Office was still funny/good even after Steve Carell left. Made it even sweeter when he came back at the end.
-The Godfather Part III is a good movie.
-Twin Peaks is boring/weird/and downright stupid.
-True Romance is the best movie Quentin Tarantino has ever been involved in.
-Bojack Horseman sucks and I’m a Will Arnett fan.
-Arrested Development is overrated and the Netflix seasons are terrible.
-The Shining (1980) is not some masterpiece.
-Carlito’s Way>>>Scarface
It’s not that GOT didn’t play out how we wanted. It’s that it was rushed and many of the major events didn’t make sense because of it.Breaking Bad isn't as good as people make it out to be.
GOT final season was some of the best content we've ever seen on tv. It's high budget, academy-award-winning-movie level. I'm sorry the ending didn't play out the way you wanted.
Sopranos > The Wire
Band of Brothers is the best miniseries ever and it is often overlooked and is highly underrated.
Scarface is a shitty B-movie for college bros.

I like True Romance a lot, but I'm not sold on that statement. But otherwise, a lot of agreement here.
When someone here earlier said Godfather III is better than II, I couldn't get on board with that at all. But I completely agree it's a good movie. And I think many people don't even give it a fair shake because it pales in comparison to its predecessors. Take it for what it is, don't compare it to two of the best films in American cinema history, and you've got an entertaining drama with some great scenes and some very good performances.
Garcia is great in that film. Good, interesting new character that could have easily been a try-hard Sonny impression in another actor's hands. Garcia makes Vincent a compelling, charismatic character but with a vicious streak. The sequence between him and Mantegna and Pacino at the beginning is one of the best scenes in the film. Pacino is awesome and gives a very resonant performance. I really liked the characterization of Michael, too. The contrast from what a p.o.s. he had become by the end of Godfather Part II. In III he's a more chill, likable, age-weathered dude. But he suffers that tremendous guilt over the hit on Fredo. Complex, nuanced performance there.
I am fully on board with The Office remaining good/funny. I recently did a re-watch of the entire series. There is a palpable, clear dropoff in quality when Carrell leaves, but that is natural since he gave such an amazing comedic performance and was so integral to the show's success. That said, there are a still a bunch of funny, enjoyable episodes from that point on.
Season 8- Spader was great in my opinion. Such great delivery and his intense, creepy confidence was very funny. His interaction with Helms was really good. For me, the episode where Maura Tierney guest stars as his wife really epitomizes the craziness of his character. He gives Andy the responsibility of making sure not to offer his wife (who is hoping to secure a position at Dunder Mifflin) a job there, but, so as to not even give a whiff of being the bad guy, keeps giving Andy mixed messages as though he absolutely wants him to hire her. "I am a CEO telling an employee of mine what to do..." I found that whole conceit hilarious.
Other solid episodes in my opinion, include The List, Doomsday, Spooked, etc. That said, the first half of the season struck me as far better than the second. When they head to Florida...sucks the momentum right out of the season.
Season 9 had good stuff as well. I thought the integration of the boom mic operator as a character and the rift in Pam's and Jim's marriage with which it was associated was really lamely executed. But, impressively, the show ended on a high note with a quite good season finale. Considering how many sitcoms have poor finales, that was very good.
Also, Carlito's Way over Scarface in a heartbeat. I think Scarface is a fun movie but over-the-top and silly. I never understood why some people put it on par with classics like The Godfather and Goodfellas. It's a fun, slick, cartoonish crime saga.
Carlito's Way came across as more grounded and effective. Thought Pacino was terrific in that one, as were Penn, Leguizamo, Guzman and others.
One of my favorite scenes, for sure.
Just how dismissive he is of Benny Blanco.
"Who???!"
and my favorite, "Maybe you don't remember me, I'm Benny Blanco from the..."
"Maybe I don't give a shit. Maybe I don't remember the last time I blew my nose either."

I actually rank carlitos way high on my gangster film list
Over scarface and goodfellas for example
