What are you playing right now, and why?

Xbox 360:

Mass Effect 3 - (have yet to play this game :p Timed it well, I have master level patience)... the MP, however, is one of the biggest timesinks ever (in a good way). As someone said, this is my auto-pilot and it's so addicting.

Have two maxed out (Insanity playthrough) characters to port, each with vastly different choices. Should be fun.

XCOM: Enemy Within
- Not much to say here. Tactical, turn-based strategy at it's VERY best. Pinnacle, IMO.

Dark Souls (finally starting the trilogy I've waited for so long)... I'm kinda losing patience because I want to play II and III (the graphics, mechanical improvements etc.), but it's still very cool. I expected it to be harder, but I'm good at timing and movement and that's key with this and Witcher 2 (haven't gotten to Witcher 3, yet).

PS4 (main console):

Far Cry 4 - beat it on 360, looks amazing on PS4, and is worthy of a repeat (Sabal's path this time). I love the Far Cry series, especially Far Cry 2.

The Last of Us: Remastered - Going for 100% and doing Grounded mode. Lack of HUD is no problem, but I noticed melee is WAY more lethal for enemies (getting caught is 50/50 death, no matter my health). I didn't know this aspect got more difficult. Hasn't made me had more than a few hiccups, I was just surprised I had vastly less success/badassery than on Survivor (same everything, just w/ HUD) for seemingly no reason.

GTA 5 - Always. The MC update came out and my fiance and I have our own clubhouse and she can spawn molotovs. Also, the arsenal for bikes is pretty useful.

Rocket League - Like GTA 5, a go-to game. Stupid fun with the girl and she's getting better at it than I am.

Bought the Bioshock Collection yesterday. Loved Infinite; was the first Bioshock game i played and was one of the best games ive played. Only a couple hrs into Bioshock 1 and already fully sucked into the world of Rapture.

Hope recovery goes well Sleep.

My internet has been down for 4 days (Comcast Business Account) and their ETA on the fix is "Sometime this week". Fuck.... Hopefully I get some free shit out of the deal though.

ZERO game sessions since Thursday night, and I am jonesing pretty bad. Need to kill, loot, level, upgrade....

Thanks, sheets.

I feel that pain. I don't multi-player much but my bank card got replaced and they shut off the old one before I got the activation code for the new one. Couldn't use Xbox live or PS store. The downloads I missed!

I recently bought this remastered pack, too (for cheap). I love this series, it will be way better with improved GFX/FPS and the lighting and shadows will make Rapture look even more murky. Excellent choice, no bias ;)

Red Dead Redemption because of the RDR2 trailer and Westworld.

Honestly, cannot wait for this. It's going to be insane (with that kind of budget).

They better make the MP like RDR... GTA V is fun, but if you want to play with 2 people your options go down (I find GTA DM/TDM to be boring af and too easy even without auto-aim)... RDR online kept the open world aspect and you and a friend could do everything you could in a private session.

With GTA V's push for players to go online (for microtransactions), I hope this doesn't call for bad decisions. It's R* tho, hard for them to release a dud.

I'm curious as to how rockstar will keep the multiplayer feeling fresh and wanting you to play it over and over again. with GTA they have all these dlc coming out. I can't picture what type of dlc red dead would have.

Ds3 expansion
Bf1
Over watch
Bloodborn

The souls series are my top favorites but trying some new games due to the xmas season

Dude DS1 is an awesome game, maybe the best in the series if you can overlook spotty coop. Actually you should go back one and get demon souls as well (PS3 only) if you can.

Overwatch is my one-and-only at the moment. I've been grinding the hell out of Quick Play to more rapidly acquire the Halloween skins I'm after. But once that's done, I'll be heading back into Competitive, which is the mode I truly love. There's just something about that immediate feedback of watching your ranking go up and down that really makes me focus on becoming a better player. My aim is pretty awful (though it's gotten much better thanks to Junkenstein's Revenge), but thankfully this is a game where not everyone has to play DPS to contribute; in fact, having everyone play DPS is a sure-fire way to get trampled.

Playing Shogun 2's vanilla campaign again, this time on Legendary Difficulty with the Tokugawa Clan, which has by far the most challenging start.

madden

i play where im just the qb. the coach sends in a list of play options depending on the situation that i can pick from. When i call hand off i dont control the rb. Passing plays i dont control the wr. Defense and special teams just fast forwards to let me know what happen so i never leave the field. Makes the game fun and quick without having to invest to much time. But i always fucking quit the second my stats start turning to crap.. Some games i will try 20 times over the course of a week or two before i finally have a result im happy with and move on to the next week. Thats not to say i have to win evey week, just dont like throwing too many interceptions.

Overwatch I didn't really expect that I would enjoy it as much as I do but being forced to play as a team really is the shit.

Yea I only got this game cause my cousin said he would pay for it. Started off only playing when he did now I play as much as I can.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag - last of my owned AC games I needed to get off the backlog. It's pretty great. I enjoyed AC2 a lot, but this is the first game in the series that feels AAA. The ship combat is great, along with the exploration, and Kenway is one charming mofo. Plus it seems like they kept the Abstergo shit to a minimum

Witcher 3 GOTY Edition. a good few hours into the Blood and Wine expansion and playing it with the mini map off. and i wish i played the game from the beginning like this. it makes the world so much better. that's what i love about Bethesda games and what CDPR failed at. pretty much everything gets marked on the map for you after checking the notice boards so it completely kills exploration.

X-Com 2 and Fire Emblem: Conquest. I've restarted both about a combined dozen times now and it doesn't bother me at all. love these games. if any specific type of game would make me make the jump to PC it would be turn based strategy not FPS.

MGSV - Because I quit at about 35% a while ago, due to the repetitive structure of the game. I was also trying to play it like a pure stealth game, instead of experimenting with all the weapons. Decided to say "fuck the S ratings" and just played it for kicks. Having a lot more fun with it now, just experimenting with everything.

Came back to Marvel Heroes to view the Test Center for their big changes. Lots of AWESOME stuff ahead for that game.

Haven't played much at all lately though, but mixing it up between Marvel Heroes 2016 (live servers) and some Fortnite still. Fortnite hits a progression wall, but it's still being tweaked a lot in Alpha/NDA stages.
