The heaviest, dirtiest, nastiest riff of the 1970s. Prove me wrong.

Hey PS! Off the top of my head, I know Sabbath’s earliest stuff (like ‘The Wizard’ and ‘Warning’ from the debut) has its roots in the blues, and I believe they came up through the local blues scene.Hi Chad. Man I've really grown to enjoy Black Sabbath from a lot of the posts here. That is one nasty heavy badass riff.
By the way, who influenced Black Sabbath? It seems like they kinda came out of nowhere to help create heavy metal. But I don't know about their origins. They must have had influences.
So rad. Thanks for the info my jukebox bud. That makes great sense and it's always a pleasure learning about why a new type of sound may be created. Reminds me of how Django Reinhardt played guitar his way because of a deformity on his hand. I'm going to explore more now as I've begun to understand why many of you here hold Sabbath in such high regard. Happy thanksgiving to you and the jukebox crew. Wherever you are lol!Hey PS! I believe their darker sound was shaped by their surroundings (the grim industrial English West Midlands) and Tony adjusting his guitar sound due to losing his fingertips in a work accident.
Cheers pal! Happy thanksgiving to you, and all our American Jukebox brethren! So rad. Thanks for the info my jukebox bud.
