What are the chances Dana loses Tom too?

Big Frank managed to lose his two boxing games, getting knocked out very badly in the latter, then proceeded to beat a no name in MMA.

So far Dana is probably feeling pretty good in regards to that

What? Ngannous stock was through the roof after the Fury fight in the most prolific of "moral victories" possible. Getting splattered by Joshua wasn't terribly surprising but Frank easily made more in those two fights than his entire UFC tenure.

On top of that he still looks like the best MMA HW on earth I'd pick him over anyone on the UFC at this point.

Dana has unequivocally been seething about Frank since he left, this is a crazy take lol

Jones has one top 10 gate and it's #9. Poatan has three and they're all higher than Jones' highest. O'Malley has two top 10 gates including the highest non-Conor gate. Just saying.

I'm talking right now. Sean isn't even champ anymore and he doesn't have crossover McGregor effect so he has to get back winning to get to that place. O'Malley is bigger name than Poatan indeed and Sean is one of the top draws but the Sphere event is inflated event based on 'once in lifetime' Sphere tickets. UFC spent over $20 million on it alone. Wait for Seans next fight and look at the numbers.

Also I just said Pereira got the MSG gate last year based on Jones vs Stipe tickets already sold and then he got McGregor's gate last June when Conor pulled out. According to your logic Amanda Nunes is a massive draw because she has a $10 million gate(with inflation it's equal to $13 million today). Yes obviously if Pereira headlines UFC 300 he will have a big gate and if he fills in last min after tickets are already sold for Conor and Jones then he again gets a big gate.

There is a reason why the UFC bends over backwards for Jones. He's a long proven draw and has made them a fuck load of revenue in the past 10+ years. The UFC has the metrics on who makes them money....why else would they suck Jones's dick that hard? For fun? No because he's simply extremely valuable to them for over a decade. For all we know OMalley may never hold a world title again. Wait until this weekends numbers come out for Jones/Stipe, it will be big.

Francis won his exit. Not going to work for most fighters but Francis "beat the system" even with two loses.
Francis won financially but his biggest win - ridding his life of dealing with Dana, the liar of all liars, and the ufc machine that totally backs him.
Dana has made it clear he wants Jones to fight Tom and even said today that if Jones wants to continue to fight, he has to fight Tom and no one else. He said Perreira ain't happening.
Great news for the fans, we'll see if Dana possibly keeps his word this time.

Poatan, who has a very similar 12 million gate to Jones

Because one of those cards was Jones/Stipe gate then it was cancelled with him filling in last min and the other was Pereira fighting Adesanya with Masvidal in Miami. That is an extremely easy sell as Adesanya is a draw along with Masvidal in Miami. It's not like Pereira pulling 10+ million from locations like Salt Lake City from the last card(he's still doing very good and one of the top draws now)

Like I said wait until this weekends numbers come out when Jones is matched up against another fighter with name value. They will be big. Pereira has gotten red hot in the past year but he hasn't isn't magically surpassed Jones on drawing power. Jone's absence from the sport along with coming to HW has put much more interest on him compared to his last LHW fights.

Don't think Dana would lose any sleep^^
The UFC PR machine will just tell us that Gane is the HW GOAT now and don't question it U_U
I will never accept that no TDD having FIFA playing frenchman.

How many fights Tom have left on his contract?

Tom vs Ngannou in 2026 outside the UFC would be pretty awesome. Let the Saudis throw their money at it to have the real MMA heavyweight championship fight there. NG would be 40 but he started late and his style will carry into later years better than Stipe's speed and timing skillset.
Actually, I think Francis is already in his 40's...

We also don't know if he's going to be motivated to fight for much longer (due to the death of his son)

If a fight with Aspinal doesn't materialise within the next 12-18 months then I can't see it happening

And the UFC would be unlikely to release Tom from contract despite all the bullshittery

Tom has no real boxing crossover opportunity. He has some boxing experience but not even magic oil money will pay for him.

Huge possibility of Francis versus Tom ...

if Tom & Dana have a falling out.

Would to see it in boxing or mma.

Am I really supposed to believe that Tom is crying himself to sleep over being "just" the interim champ and is disgruntled enough to leave? He always seems to be in good spirits and unbothered. He's playing along with the marketing as well, so this topic is confusing.

I also still fail to see how Franci$ was mistreated in any way during his UFC tenure.

would be hilarious if UFC lost two HW champs because of bending over backwards for Jon Jones who only gave them one fight.
