I went through the old Pride rosters and found some absolute gems of matchups that I had no idea had even happened but even more recently, I had no idea that Overeem had fought JDS and or Hunt vs JDS, yes, I know that's awful as an MMA fan but I got to watch them like it was a main event for the first time.

Has anyone realised they've missed an incredible match-up and enjoyed watching it for the first time even though it was from years ago?

I watched Maia vs Jason McDonald for the first time a couple months ago. Very underrated fight.

I knew it existed though, haha.

I watched Guy Mezger vs Chuck Liddell for the first time a few months back. That was a fun fight.

that's an awesome fight, Jason held up really well in the beginning

Not an unknown fight, but largely forgotten; Cro Cop vs Pat Barry.

Obviously not the best fight you'll ever watch, but it's a really entertaining one.

Back in the day i would only watch K1 ... Hoost, Hunt, Crocop, Le Banner, Aerts, Sefo,Bonjasky, Buakaw, Masato ...all awesome fighters and fights... i cant remember the specific fight but i remember that one fighter had MMA as fighting style and i had no idea what it was... i knew vale tudo existed but i didnt associate it with MMA .... so i started searching the web for all MMA fights i could ... My mind was blown and i stuck with it ever since.
Watching those fights for the 1st time was a treat... the good old days

buscape vs azeredo in pride,i think the first round had some kerazy grappling skills

There is truly only one fight. The fact that we've all always known about it is our greatest curse, really.

Of course, it's a fight we can't win. It's a battle against agony and decay. It's a war against loss. We were born as the noblest and silliest thread of futility pushing back against the laws of the universe.

But it's not poetic. It's simple physics, simple thermodynamics--hot to cold.

We all knew this fight existed. But no one is happy to find it.

More recently, I'd never heard of Do Ho Choi Choi until everyone started hyping him up on Sherdog. Checked out his fights and thought "Damn this guy's a savage"

Hector Lombard vs mousasi was a fun one that I watched pretty recently. Phil baroni vs Pete sell was another one

Those were big fights. They were the co-main on their cards. For me it's not a fight I didn't know happened, but one I didn't watch because I knew what was going to happen.
I knew Franklin was going to pick Silva apart and then wrestle him to an impressive UD...
