First of all I don't fly that often, but here my story.

Mine has to be when I flying to Britain a guy beside me took his shoes off and I couldn't believe the stinkiness of his feet.

It was overwhelming, I could only bare (pun intended) it for 15 min and than I told him if he doesn't mind to put his shoes back on. lol

He ended up putting his shoes back on and I was obviously relieved.

Flight was delayed 16 hours causing a transfer and unwanted overnight stay in the wrong country.

Flight was delayed four hours causing me to hysterically laugh at Sherdog posts while failing to explain it to my wife.

Bomb threat at Paris airport.

lol that's a good one.

Not making doo doo on the plane or being mindful of what I ate prior and barely making it to the destination toilet in time.

My first time ever flying , was nervous. We took off and as we straightened up my GF said I could relax and to look at the magazine I was holding . I have no idea how I did it but managed to crumple it into a ball . Retard strength . Could never have done it at any other time. I figure I must have just been repeatedly crushing it....

Getting stuck between two super fat women, on a flight between Sydney and LA. After that I decided, fuck this... I'm flying business or I'm not flying.

Touching me and sweating on me... was revolting. I spent nearly all of the 14 hour flight standing up the back of the plane... *barf*

Had one where it was a crap flight , delayed like 12 hours, original plane was broken , loads of turbulence, had to go around a couple of times and were told someone else had taken our slot for landing as they had a problem on board , etc etc . When we finally landed the whole load of passengers spontaneously applauded and cheered...

I took a local flight here in Australia. Sydney to Adelaide about 90mins. We had a female pilot. Mid flight we experienced turbulence. It lasted so long a lot of people were getting visually distressed. Out of nowhere the most Aussie guy at the back yelled out " CONTROL THE EFFING PLANE " tension instantly gone

lol so I take it you just fly business now?

I fly a lot so pretty much everything has happened, flight cancelled, huge delays, sat on runway for hours and switched planes, lost luggage, etc etc. Have a few strategies to mitigate what I can and don't stress about it.

Weird is when those big ass stweardess are walking arround and i cant see them properly because of the seat view limitations

Well aren't we just miss sensible... I bet you knew which country you were flying to in advance and even packed clothes as well
I learned from painful experience, absolutely not from wisdom I assure you.

I used to fly in / fly out for work and did it for the majority of my career. Nothing major but once I went hungover and filled 3 puke bags throughout my flights that day. Ill never get drunk the night before I fly again

I took a little tourist plane trip over the Grand Canyon
Some fat kid got sick and blew chunks everywhere

I use to fly tons when I was a kid cuz my dad lived in a different country
He would fly me out for long weekends and holidays
But nothing weird ever really happened
I would get moved up to business or first class a lot if there was empty seats and the flight attendants would always give me tons of snacks and treats
Take me up to see cockpit, meet the pilot and shit like that
I guess cuz I was young kid and always flying alone
This was all pre 9/11 days

When I was a teen I did have a few bad experiences with customs and airport security though, lol
Strip searched a couple times cuz they thought I had drugs on me

I was on a flight to Bangkok and I ate some airplane Korean food

Ended up locked in the bathroom 10 minutes from landing with attendants knocking on the door telling me I needed to return to my seat while I was having one of the most hellish experiences of my life

Was scared I wouldn't get through customs because I was dripping with sweat and probably looked like a kilo of pots just exploded in my ass

The flight that immediately stands out is the one where someone died on the plane. We were cruising along at 30,000+ feet when I heard a muffled scream, followed by some crying. Anyway, without going into all the details of the story, someone had died on the plane. Their corpse was laid out on a row of three seats in the back, covered by blankets. You passed by it when you went to the washroom. Eventually, everyone found out. After the commotion had settled down, and flight attendants had no need anymore to keep scurrying to the back of the plane, the airline started to play cheerful stuff on the big screen (there were big screens back then as opposed to individual monitors in front of seats), such as Three Stooges episodes, until the plane started to descend. Then when it landed, of course we all had to wait till the paramedics got the body off.
