What are Sergei's chances against Jon?

..and then Jones dominates the guy and adds one more name to his cartel of "This is the guy everyone was saying that would defeat Jones". People need to understand that Jones brain is wired differently, it isn't only his attributes but also how his brain works. Like Messi in football, Federer in Tennis or a Jokic in Basketball. He can lose, sure he can, he can have a bad night, of course but that is against a Cristiano Ronaldo, a Nadal or a Curry, not against a brute like Pavlovich that uses his head to hold his ears.
He isn’t magic. He is aging and has noticeably declined. Doesn’t change what he was in his prime. But yes he likely loses to Sergei now. I think JJ understands that too, so we’ll likely never see the fight.

Please don’t equate Sergei to Gane. I made a giant thread before Gane fought JJ illustrating he never fought a grappler in his professional lifetime and showing his record was entirely against kickboxers plus how he had just been exposed to have 0 grappling by the Francis fight, getting dominated on the ground by a fellow striker.

I get you. Totally understand where you are coming from and there is clearly a logic to it which I can agree to an extent but I still don't feel that Pavlovich would be that guy. Definitely not comparing Sergei to Gane, Sergei is clearly the more complete fighter.

Sergei likely wins. But few understand what they are watching and Jon won in the 1st round of his last fight so reality and perception are wildly different right now
I was pissed when Jon destroyed Shogun too. Get over it and open your eyes dummy.

Its MMA and everybody has a chance and especially a big and strong guy as Serjoga. I mean its called fighting and not winning and thats why most of us love this sport!

However, when seeing what Overeem, the only real quality opponent he fought, did to him its just normal to think that JBJ would be the clear favorite.
