Very hard to tell. Jon's a very different fighter to Blaydes, Tuivasa and Black Beast but we've only seen about a minute of him in the last few years.
I don't even see the logic in Jones wanting to go 5 rounds at HW, lmao, I'm with you on that. That's 25 mins of only needing to take one shot to go night night. His game plan should be the same every time out, work a shot the first chance it's available, and finish it on the ground as fast as possible while taking as little damage as possible. He won't last in a fire fight at HW. He mixes up enough that's he's still giving people problems on the feet, but his physical gifts aren't what they were at LHW, and these dudes only need one. I suspect, whoever he fights next, he attempts a TD very quickly. It's a good point about Jon needing to end the fight early. Almost everyone thought he would try to win 5 round decisions at HW against people who can end the fight at any moment. It's not a great idea and Jon was smart enough to realize that and lucky enough that Gane didn't train defensive wrestling.
Im a bit concerned that Blaydes was outstriking him before getting caught. How is he going to perform in a fight where he doesnt get an early knockout? It seems to be about pure power and not technique with him.
Jon fought the best hw striker in the ufc and made him tap.there is no way anyone should doubt him at hw
Fighters have been trying it for well over a decade at this point, we've seen what happens. That's exactly why we should have questions lol. He fought the best striker and wanted no part of the standup. If someone can force him to stand up for at least a round we'll see how good Jones really is at HW.

Sergei likely wins. But few understand what they are watching and Jon won in the 1st round of his last fight so reality and perception are wildly different right now
Jones won't be able to bully him around and steer him around in the clinch. He would be forced to bang with Sergei and I don't see that ending well for 2023 Jones.
..and then Jones dominates the guy and adds one more name to his cartel of "This is the guy everyone was saying that would defeat Jones". People need to understand that Jones brain is wired differently, it isn't only his attributes but also how his brain works. Like Messi in football, Federer in Tennis or a Jokic in Basketball. He can lose, sure he can, he can have a bad night, of course but that is against a Cristiano Ronaldo, a Nadal or a Curry, not against a brute like Pavlovich that uses his head to hold his ears.
