What are Derrick Lewis strenghts?

He wins the majority of his fights on heart and brute strength alone. Only times he loses are when he straight up quits or gets caught by a sneaky shot like a hook kick or Mitriones shoulder.

Scaring his last two opponents on the feet to the point that they were content to lay on top of him without trying to advance position and risking a scramble

Is is obvious he wins often but can you define his strenghts during the fight?

Only i have is that he has a bigger chance to win by tko/ko during the third round, like his win over Alexander Volkov.

His strenght seems to be his weapon as well, the power of his hands.

Maybe also his way to fight offensive.

His weakness seems to be everything such as takedown defense and sub-defense.

Erm knocking people the fuck out...

He doesn't put himself to sleep

His wit and fight IQ shouldn't be underestimated imo.

He's tricked a few guys into believing he couldn't come back in a fight he was losing then knocked them out and it's worked for him at least a few times.

He did it to Shamil, Tybura, and Volkov. I don't know if that trick is going to work anymore though.

As others have said, his main strength is that he maintains fight ending 1 punch power even when completely gassed, and seems adept at finding ways to land that bomb without much technique or setup, so even in beatdowns, he remains dangerous and can come back, no matter how late in the fight.

He also moves deceptively fast for a fat guy, and has good kicking dexterity when his back is in good form.

Weakness are obviously cardio, high level wrestling/submission offense and defense, and reliance on power over technique, more often than not.

His balls cant get hot

Hes got knockout power if hes not gassed out

He can be explosive for a round a few times.

He goes for the win (finish)

Lewis has alot more weaknesses just the strikers dont exploit it.

Weakness is sombody pacing the fight to outlast him..

Somone who doesnt stay still

Bjj and grappling.

Francis ngaunnnuo is everyone's weakness except for stipe.

Not very technical

If his balls get hot

While many pointed out the obvious (power, durability and explosiveness) he is extraordinarily athletic and deceptively fast for such a big man. He isn't just a brawler - he has excellent kicks, knees etc. and covers distance really well.

He is also really self aware in the ring - he rarely wastes energy and doesn't go for broke and then guess. He bides his time, often to the 11th hour of the fight, and then goes "balls out", and KOs most people.

If he improved his cardio and can fully heal from his back injury, I definitely see him as a threat for the title (against Stipe more so than Cormier)

He is tough, weird, unpredictable, strong and hits quite hard (his power is overrated though)
Main flaws: way too static, poor TDD, no wrestling, poor cardio.

Counter striking is strength, physical strength, fight IQ, weakness is bjj

Biggest strength- beating francis 30-27 pretty easy. Stands up when he wants on ground (believe he did this vs DC also)
