What's London about? I saw him in ....Something...."Safe" that's it. Way better than I expected.
This doesn't really do it justice. It's pretty much all based in a bathroom, which made it so good. Much like cooking something with only 3 elements...nowhere to hide.

"In New York, the drug-addicted Syd is consumed by drink and drugs - missing his girlfriend London, who broke up with him six months ago after a two-year relationship. When Syd finds that London's friends throw a going away party for her, he decides to go to the party without an invitation. But first he meets the banker and drug-dealer, Bateman, in a bar to buy coke, and he invites his new acquaintance to go to the party with him. While locked in the bathroom with Bateman snorting coke and drinking booze, Syd recalls moments of his relationship with London, inclusive that he had never said "I love you" to his girlfriend despite her countless requests. Bateman also "open his heart" under the influence of cocaine and tells his impotence problem to Syd; in the end he convinces Syd to talk to London."

Matt Damon is always playing a Matt Damon character. Sometimes another guy steps in and does it for him, like in the town where Matt Damon was played by Jeremy Renner. Previously, Tom Hanks played Matt Damon, but he transferred the Matt Damon responsibility to Matt Damon in Saving Private Ryan. Before that Matt Damon played characters.

matt damon plays matt damon in every movie
dicaprio can't act a decent acting range so it' s basically dicaprio all the time. i have not once been able to watch one of his movies and think of him as the character, not dicaprio.

Interesting.

The based in a bathroom premise reminds me of that old Charles Bronson movie where he and Alain Delon get stuck in a bank vault.

Anthony Hopkins explained in an interview that this is how Hollywood was built. He said something like “If you want to see Bruce Willis as John McLean fighting in a building, you’ll want to see him as John McLean fighting in space too.”

That makes sense. There are some actors who probably don't want to be typecasted to only certain roles, but I'm sure they're at least happy to have made it.

Yeah! He said versatility is for people who need to make a living on stage, not in Hollywood.

Since then I have thought that the majority of memorable actors have one or two good roles that they can repeat in different settings.

If you want to be an actor in Hollywood, but don’t want to be typecast, you will be among about 10% of actors.

Has Rosario Dawson portrayed more than one character?

I think Pierce Brosnan always plays the guy who gets to grab the hot actress's boobs. See Tailor of Panama and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Maybe Matt Damon, but Leo's actually one of the actors whose played the biggest range of characters to me.

Titanic, Wolf of Wall Street, The Aviator, Catch me if you can, Blood Diamond, the Revenant, Django Unchained. Catch Me if you Can and (W.o.W.) are the two most similar ones but they're both true stories.

Michael Caine seems like his roles are not much of a stretch.

DiCaprio has done some okay range. He doesn’t disappear into characters like some do, but his characters in Wolf of Wall Street, Django Unchained, the Revenant, Catch Me if You Can, the Departed were all very different characters.
