What’s the toughest animal you could beat in unarmed combat?

Anything small enough that I can stomp to death with my boots like insects, little frogs etc.. non flying tiny animals , I could crush them with impunity.

Unless it's something really poisonous , in which case I would preform a tactical retreat , lest it somehow survive my first stomp, then crawl up my leg and kill me with a poison/venum bite.

As for other animals, if it flies then I have no confidence to win bare handed, no matter how small of a bird.

I can kill almost all fish types provided we fight on land. (I would wait for them to suffocate then attack the corpse)

When it comes to land animals, if they're small dogs or cats that I can kick flying then I like my chances. But a medium sized dog then I have to fight for my life and it's not certain if I could win.

Something that alot of people underestemate is the psychological attack that dogs do during a fight. Which is barking so loud they make your ears go numb, it can be very effective if you're not mentally ready. And one moment of hesitation due to shock from the bark , that's all a dog needs to pounce and bite your neck.

Sorry but I think a good-sized angry bobcat would fuck up the vast majority of Sherdog regulars. I'm not saying that it would kill anyone but it would do a number on most of us. I once had to get a big nasty feral cat off my back porch so I put on a pair of leather gloves & tried to pick it up to carry it over to the alley where it came from. And damn, was that a big mistake. It went completely haywire & bit through the gloves & scratched the shit out of me. I was shocked at how strong & ferocious a 15-pound animal could be.

I tried not to hurt it but in the end & I had to throw it about ten feet into a fence by the alley to keep it from clawing my eyes out. I threw it hard too but it ran off unharmed but pissed as hell. While I was left all torn up. Luckily its bite didn't break the skin of my thumb because of the glove but it hurt like hell for about a week. And if I hadn't had those gloves on I'm sure it would have bitten right down to the bone.

And that was just a wild version of a house cat. I'd hate to have had to fight with anything larger & angrier or hungrier or whatever. So, I think most of you are really underestimating how difficult it can be to handle an animal. They're very hard to get a hold of & much faster & stronger than you imagine they are.

Had nearly the same experience, it was like trying to manage a whirlwind in my hands. Almost like it was moving 10x the speed I was.

If you are a capable, athletic male most dogs can be dealt with. Twice dogs off leash have pounced on my cocker spaniel and twice I've pried their jaws open like King Kong and sent them scurrying. One was a pit mix with its fabled lock jaw. I put that theory to the test (they don't lock).

Both times their owners just stood their helpless but a man of action won't allow his own to be savaged. If I had stood helpless my pup would of been dead twice over (cocker spaniels can't even kill babies, zero human deaths from the breed in all of history).

Just use footwork and boot them when a dog comes your way. If they get their jaws around you stick your hands in their mouth and pull them apart. Remember your average fit man is minimum 155 pounds of lean muscle (and your average westerner 190+ pounds). The biggest wolf on record is 175 pounds, so a huge male wolf can be trouble but not a dog.

Why you harassing that Canadian wildlife ?

The coyote deserved it for running at me and being aggressive, whilst walking on the sidewalk to get home.

The deer was me being an asshole in jasper. Its almost a right of passage out there, must wrestle one deer after bar drinking after the age of 18. I gave into peer pressure.

I'm rarely ever "unarmed" but I'd say a larger breed of dog would be the toughest animal that I could beat unarmed.

I used to play wrestle with my friend's German Shepherd. I'd step off to one side and get ahold of the dog behind the head with one hand. Then I'd grab a back leg, drag it to the other back leg, and pull both legs to one side picking up on them. The dog would flop over to its back and I'd pin it by holding it under the jaw. Completely helpless and useless at that point.

I know that the dog wasn't trying to kill me, and a more aggressive dog would be harder to deal with, but I was surprised as how simple it was to incapacitate a dog that big.

That's the thing though. I think a motivated house cat would fuck up most people. Yes they're small but they are fast agile and have razer sharp claws (and teeth). If the cat truly wants to kill a human I think it has a decent chance. Those sharp claws can do severe damage. Will it win in the end? Most likely no but it'll make sure you won't be too far off from being completely scarred for life..

Cat's are vicious. Our neighbor had to have their 90lb Rottweiler put down after their cat took his 2nd eye out. The cat blinded him in one eye when he was a puppy and then got the other eye a few years later when he was fucking with it under a bed.

I would like to see what boxing does to a chimp, it's not going to defend against a straight right and how's it gonna feel then huh?
Would not like box it (would not like have to confront it at all of course)
Small agile target that keep move fast af at knee/groin level height, then jump at your face when he want and rip stuff
Waaay harder to KO than a human for how their skull/muscles are built, plus they're just insanely though... i remember a vid of a victim who was attacked by her pet chimp (wtf) in the kitchen, somebody tried to save her by stabbing the chimp multiple times with kitchen knife... granted, probably were confused/weak stabs but the chimp just ignored them and continued the mauling
Police finally arrived and shot it down

I think I could fuck up anything wolf and below, excluding a chimp.
There is no way I'd wanna square off with a fucking chimp.
Below wolf in term of size would count out also wolverine and honey badger, they can take beatings from far bigger animals killing their opponent and would just dig their way through us lol

Would say if you're desperate lynx (eurasian) is doable as probably is not strong/tough as some of toughest dogs in terms to take damage (they would shit scare away any dog and even most of wolves though), but its ability to DO damage must be scary and would leave you life long marks and maybe take an eye or two lol
What's with the geese being on there higher than cats? I never realised they could be aggressive.
Goose is one of these animals that escaped hell to reach our world

I would rather fight a goose, but i would not be happy lol

That’s messed up as a putting down a dog just because they were blinded. Also fuck cats.

My friend is a vet and saw this list and she says (from experience) she can take down any size angry house cat with just a towel and would rather take on any domestic cat than a medium sized angry dog.

I'm drawing my line between large dog and king cobra.

I'm confident against almost any dog, with an exception for extreme outliers like ovcharkas or 200+lbs mastiffs.

Who the fuck thinks they can take on a king cobra barehanded? Who would rather take on a king cobra than a kangaroo or a wolf? People are stupid.

Leopards have different weapons than humans do. Unless chimps/gorillas have glass jaws we're in a lot of trouble.
So do people think that leopards and cougars have glass chins? What specifically makes people look at a cougar or leopard and go "yea I'd have a better chance beating you than a chimpanzee"

The pygmys of the mountains of the moon in Ethiopia were recorded as elephant hunters. They would attack in the jungle and distract it whilst one who is looking to prove himself would run up behind and use his short leaf bladed spear to slash the elephants achilles tendons in its back legs. Then they swarm the fucker.

Yes, but they were armed.

Dogs are stronger than men p4p though. I really am not that confident in my chances against a guard or Fighting breed type of dog that is an uncastrated male and weighs 100 lbs or more. Certainly not against a wolf of that size. I'm surprised so many people here like their chances against wolves

Stabbing doesn't even stop many humans. Often they only realise they're injured after the event. Concussive force is different, the body is worse at ignoring it.

Yes, but they were armed.
Sure, I'm not suggesting people can unarmed take out an elephant, you just reminded me of something I found interesting, sorry!
