What’s something you need to do — but haven’t yet — because it scares you?

I'd say travelling by plane to long distance places, where you fly for more than 10 hours.

I have to go to Australia eventually to visit my sister. And the flight is like 25 hours.

I'm scared to get a panic attack while flying.

How about you guys?

This would definitely be something where I'm scared of me. Like getting a motorcycle, it's not that they scare me. My need to go very fast at almost all times does + motorcycle does though.

As for long distance flights, have you ever been on a wide body plane? It's a different feel and might be much less likely to give you anxiety. My longest flight was 16 hours, it was pretty easy.

You mean like a Boeing?

Anything with a single aisle is narrow body. So Boeing 737's and Airbus 320, also anything smaller. Pretty much all American domestic flights.

Longer international flights are on bigger planes, 777, 787...Airbus 350. Double aisles, plane is much larger inside. It's a different feeling.

My longest single flight was 15 or 16 hours, part of 25 hours total

Oh I see, that make sense. I hope it's a wide bodied if I ever go.

I took up scuba diving to conquer my fear of sharks. I'm a divemaster now with a few hundred dives done around the world, I still have a fear of sharks but I'm more philosophical about it.

Last week I saw a video of some people trampolining beneath a hot air balloon, while it was sailing they bounced off the trampoline and parachuted to the ground. I've held off skydiving for lots of sensible reasons but this is the way I'd want to do it.

Is this what you are talking about?

Apparently I have to visit the DMV in person to get some stupid stamp on my drivers license. Now that I think of it, I may just renew my passport online.

If you do a long ass flight like these.
pay extra to reserve some good seat.

Just did San Fran to Tapei few months ago,
and Phnom Penh to Vancouver on my way back.
(both 15hrs)

it's a nightmare if your a middle seat.
take first row next to one of the bathroom and thank me later.

36 hour flights with just one stop off in Singapore. From England to New Zealand to also visit my sister who lives there, and back. Done it lots of times through the years.

They aren't all that bad, just long as hell. You get lots of movies to watch through and just sleep pretty much. The food is horrible though.

I skateboarded almost daily for about 10 years. I was always held back from fear of doing things on handrails. I boardslid a few, but I probably had 10+ tricks that I could have done on handrails. I'd been down 10+ stairs multiple times, but I just could never get my body to commit. It's something I regret to this day at almost 43 lol.

Took a few flights from Florida to SEA(Thailand/china) 40 hours in total and 17.5 hr on one leg. Listen to these other folks here, ts, and get a real good seat. I like the seats near the middle of the plane with no seat in front of you. Think they are exits most of the time, but that extra leg room is well worth it.

Oh and to answer, I want to sky dive, but I’m scared. I will eventually do it
