Social West Side Story Star Rachel Zegler to Lead Disney Snow White Remake

Yup. A Disney movie coming around for them is once in a career. The sad reality is that there will not be an abundance of roles for little people as their stature is typically made a part of the story and there are too few of them for it not to be a noticeable piece. Disney for their part has become so woke that it cuts out people from the actual group they would claim they are protecting.
Atleast back in the day little people got small parts on sitcoms and other comedy shows every once in a while. Now since they cant be made fun of in any way they dont even get these bookings.

Only place you can stil guffaw and chortle at them is on the midget rasslin circuit and thats just not enough imo, this country deserves better

I'd advise you stop. You're just digging yourself deeper.

The term "dwarf" traces back to Old English. There are written records that date back to as early as 700 A.D. Contrary to what you wrote above, no, the use of the term is ancient; it's the fantasy "race" that has only been around for about 50 years since the advent of Dungeons and Dragons; or alternatively in the old folklore similar to what Tolkien drew upon in LOTR. The dwarfs in the tale Little Snow White, as recorded by the Grimm Brothers, were not a different race. They were humans. Just small humans.

Proportionate dwarfs, disproportionate dwarfs, and midgets are all real types of people. The last is distinguished from the former two groups, particularly the second group, by the fact they're perfectly healthy. They suffer no hormonal/growth disorder. They're just the smallest of us.

Yes.

Wrong

yeah I mean personally if i was doing the 'my heart goes out to you' gesture, I would imagine I'd have a smile on my face or any expression of warmth or love, I would not have a kind of grimace set in my mouth like I was basically saying 'fuck the world' whilst doing the gesture. (or alternatively the facial expression was perhaps betraying the classic signs of cocaine hydrolysis)

another thing I would do, if i wanted to do that gesture, is if I had appeared before in front of a crowd doing a 'my heart goes out to you' gesture that looked nothing whatsoever like a Nazi salute, the next time I did the gesture, i would probably just do the same gesture i had done before, so that nobody misunderstood and everybody knew meant 'my heart goes out to you', rather than doing a gesture that looked exactly like a fucking Nazi salute and nothing like the fucking gesture i have made in fucking public before that very obviously looked like a 'my heart goes out to you' mime the first time but somehow Leon got confused and did it different somehow for some reason I mean who knows, right.

I mean its almost as though Leon showed in the past he was perfectly capable of doing a 'my heart goes out to you' gesture that looked nothing like a fucking nazi salute, and then threw one out there that did look like a Nazi salute because he just gets lols and chuckles from shocking people with how devil-may-care and edgy he is.
Admittedly, the guy does look creepy and is socially awkward.

If the guy is majorly rich and brilliant, I dont expect folks like him to act normal.

It's a disservice to yourself to judge a gesture from such a different person.

I can't unsee this.

I don't understand why this chick keeps failing upwards and getting roles? She's not pretty and on top of that has a horribly arrogant personality.

Not only that the only other high budget movie she was a top lead in (West side story) lost over 200 million dollars.

How the hell do you co-lead a movie that loses 200 million and yet still have someone go "hey let's have her lead a 400+ million-dollar Cinderella movie we'll be rich".

Her early career theater stuff is great, but I don't know why they are throwing her into the spotlight with zero previous TV or movie experience. It's like no buildup just throw and see if it sticks, very expensive mistake and bad for her future roles.

Not even pretty and an insufferable asshole to boot. I don't get it. Perhaps she sucked someone off 🤷‍♀️

Well we still got the old stuff i guess.

Honestly, this is a milder way to accept reality than say midget tossing.

What ever term anyone prefers for little folks, they know they're small. They cant do anything about it, so having a sense of humor about it would be the best way to go through life.

Film/theater, have people forgotten, a story is put on display. It's the epitome of spectacle. Its self destructive to produce a spectacle that deliberately does not meet audiences expectations.

To make a spectacle in a form of theater/film, you absolutely NEED 3 things. Performers, audience, a stage to present it.

You miss 1 of those and you got nothing to see. Rachel, the performer, honestly, did her part. Disney is the stage and they decided to remove the dwarf performers, resulting in losing the audience.

A complete fuck up.

Mickey was a G, he doesnt get mentioned as one of the great Seinfeld guest characters but his storylines and adventures with Kramer were always frickin hilarious, I put him up there as one of the best lesser characters on that show
It was the perfect fit and he is one of my favorites as well from that show.

The Critical Drinker is quite even-handed here, admitting that Zegler isn't the worst thing about the movie.

I have heard many critics say she's actually good. I saw her sing in an interview and the woman has a great voice. She doesn't understand how movie promos work, but she's talented.

Yeah midget tossing is wild and probably demeaning for the little people. I only saw that on Stern show back in the day i was actually shocked since we didnt have anything like that in our country. I never watched the contests or what they were but were often mentioned on the Stern show.

Meanwhile non-woke Ne Zha 2 with a production budget of merely US$80 million has now grossed over US$2.1 billion at the box office.

Money talks. I'm surprised that big studios like Disney still insist on this woke political agenda at the expense of pure entertainment. If they don't adapt, capitalism will eat them alive.
