Were u surprised that the warrior himself tapped out?

Imagine tapping to strikes to a bloated LW journeyman in your prime in your first title defense as defending champion
Christ on a cross, ALL the way back in 2006 which was well over a decade ago lol.

Yes,I was surprised, more surprised that he seemed to have mentally tapped out even before the fight..
I don’t know about that, he was lighting khabib’s legs up right from the jump.. he just folded under Khabib’s pressure like 28 other guys did.

Aldo did pretty well to defend but he was done.

Also who cares if someone says they won't tap.

Sometimes you gotta know when youre beat
Aldo is maybe the baddest motherfucker at 145 and below, he’s definitely goat featherweight at this point.

He sounded like a scared/delusional man trying to convince himself all the way leading up to the fight, and I had khabib by submission in the first or second, so not surprised at all

What shocked me in that fight was that Khabib basically threw his style out the window. He's always been a "position before submission" grappler, working his technical game before trying to get the finish.

But he just fucking went for it immediately. At the end of the first he almost finished the fight, and then just fucking went and did it in the second. He just wanted it over and done with, no fucking around.

What a way to finish a truly great career

It's MMA. Fighters tap. What is this shit?

It looked like Gaethje would win if he could keep the fight standing. I was surprised there were no scrambles on the ground. Khabib was in a dominant position or submission attempt almost instantly.

I can kinda understand the stigma of tapping to to strikes but never understood the stigma of tapping to a submission.

Khabib panicked so badly because of justin leg kicks,he knew if he isn't going for the finish asap he is leaving in a stretcher

I don’t know about that, he was lighting khabib’s legs up right from the jump.. he just folded under Khabib’s pressure like 28 other guys did.

Im not suggesting that Khabibs incredible pressure didn’t play a major role in the outcome, but Justin had too much respect for him going in. Justin is usually aggressive and confident, I didn’t get his usual vibe..
