i know he has fought 4 times in 8 months. What has he been making per fight?
I’m not trying to count his money, but he has to have cleared a couple million in the last 8 months, right?

This is me talking out of my ass, but maybe he is trying to “cash out” as he sees retirement looming.
Build up a nest egg under his current contract because he knows he might not be getting paid as well on his next deal.

Once again, me being bored and amped on caffeine this fine morning

I'm sure he has made some good money. Especially with Reebok

I'm sure he's doing very well. Renegotiated recently didn't he?

He makes 400k a fight.

Fabrício Werdum: $400,000 (includes $125,000 win bonus)

I think it is a combo of his health was fine, he knew he was getting older so get fights in ASAP & a quicker path to one last title shot.
But "clearing a couple million" I doubt
That would be $1m per fight before taxes, expenses to be near $2m take home

If he wins. So only 275 k for getting his head bashed in by Drago.
Doesn't sound fantastic to me.

That's what it looks like but that was 3 fights ago so it's probably a little more now.
I hope so. Good for him if he renegotiated for better and is trying to ride his contract out into the sunset.

He should retire and focus on teaching jiu jitsu. He had some slick moves last night on the mat.

If gladly take 275k to get ko'd. I onky make 80k a year so i need all the money i can get.

400k back then, probably 600k now for Wedum.

If i could get 3~400k per fight, i'd fight as much as i could per year if i could stay injury-free .

4 fights a year minimum, that's some decent money.

He gets paid to fight, he gets paid to commentate for the UFC’s Latin broadcast team, he owns a successful GYM, with other sponsors to round it out, Werdum is sitting pretty and living very comfortably. Plus he did this to Travis Rousey...

$137.5 K still sounds pretty good to me.
Well it certainly isn't bad for a regular guy but for a professional fighter at the highest level in his chosen sport,id say it's pretty poor.
