News Welcome to Year Three of Jon Jones's HW Title Reign.

No UFC fighter in history would have been given the privilege to hold onto a belt as long as he has without fighting. We'll likely never see something like this ever again, thankfully.

To Jones fan this is what makes him great!

He got injured. Do you think all champions should be stripped if they suffer an injury? It's a complicated issue and it makes perfect sense they didn't do that.

He fought in November. That's 4 months ago. Be patient, something is going to happen. There's nothing exciting to really look forward to if Jon gets stripped and retires. I mean, are you in a rush to see Tom vs Gane or Almeida? Tom has already almost cleared the division and there's hardly any upcoming talent to get excited for.

There's only one fight to make.
All champions who refuse to fight interim champs immediately after return should continue to be stripped like they always have been.

You've heard of this word called negotiation right? UFC is built around it as fighters are independent contractors.

Like I said in my first post, UFC has probably set a deadline where they will strip Jon if he hasn't accepted the fight by then. You just have to wait.

Doubt it. And even if that was the case, will Jon’s fans quit spewing bs about calling Tom a nobody or saying Jon doesn’t owe anything to anyone? I’m so sick of this. This is my least favorite saga in 20 years of watching MMA and it’s the most pathetic.

I think fans of Jon believe that he won't get any credit for beating Tom if he takes the fight and afterwards people will be saying Tom was a nobody. That's likely true and what would happen, as evidenced by the several times we've seen that.

It's not like Jon Jones doesn't have a hate thread here almost daily you can engage in to let it all out.

I don't really understand the hurry. HW is barren as fuck.

People should be sucking on Jonny's nuts hoping he takes this fight because without him and that fight happening...there's fucking nothing.

Somewhat. But does he tarnish it more than Fedor, who lost a bunch at the end of his carreer, or Anderson who did the same?

That's a pretty good question, if you ask me...

No. They still fought. Age takes it toll on everyone. To continue to fight when you are no longer your best takes quite a bit more than simply not fighting at all.

It's really not much different then DC vs Stipes annual fights and Ngannou 1 a year schedule. It's how it's been for a while now Im just accustomed to seeing one hw title fight per year now
being accustomed doesn't mean it isn't complete bullshit...
