It's really not much different then DC vs Stipes annual fights and Ngannou 1 a year schedule. It's how it's been for a while now Im just accustomed to seeing one hw title fight per year now

Except those were understandable because they got old and no longer had the same capabilities. Jones is tarnishing it by being a dick and holding up a division, which is not the same thing. If we went through all of this "waiting to see" shit and he never fights Tom, he will always be a joke and a meme along with Dana.

Jones is older than Fedor and Anderson was when they started going on a lose-spree. Just to make that clear.

And Jones fought more recently than Aspinall.
 
The UFC should just pay that 30 million that Jones wants, it just a few blackjack hands & some trucks of snow for Dana
 
Seems fans are more remembering his HW reign as ducking Ngannou and Aspinall more than any of his wins.

What a stupid statement. Aspinall is inactive because Jon is his fucking opponent. Why would he defend an interim belt when the champ is active?

Jones also has overall been less active in the past few years. He took over three years off to bulk up to HW. And even then he didn't have the most active schedule in his last days at LHW.
When Fedor came back he fought 2 times in 2018 and 2019, for example. Jon's been fighting once a year or less since the 2nd Gus fight back in 2013. Less fighting means less toll on your body.

I enjoy MMA in my own way: 1) seeing shitty people get hurt, and 2) things that make posters here upset.

Jones' novelty fight against a non-number one contender is irrelevant (and an extended injury hiatus before his fight against a non-number one contender), and his age has nothing to do with defending- he's responsible for defending his title. No excuse for not defending against the number one contender at least once per year. He's been dicking us off for way too long.

Tom is ready and willing to fight Jones NOW. Jones is not ready to fight Tom, and likely will NEVER fight him.
 
I just can't believe the way the UFC cuddles jones tbh. He should be stripped but it is what it is
