Weirdest KO reaction nexts to Johnny Walker

the reason why the fans shit on people who tap to strikes is because many fighters perpetuated that sentiment. i remember before JDS fought Frank Mir he was speaking Portuguese to Big Nog in some restaurant and he said that Frank wasn't even a man because he tapped to strikes. lots of fighters are like that because it shows you have quit in you. i can see your position but i can also see the fighter's position.i think fans should realize this is one of those things where your opinion doesn't matter and should be kept to yourself if you're not a peer. in reality, fighter's should criticize this either but it also helps gatekeep people like Bob Sapp who throw fights. i don't know, it's a complicated matter in my opinion.
Mir tapped to strikes in Bellator though, way after he fought JDS. Unless Mir did it some other time that I’m not remembering

maybe he was talking about when Freeman beat him. i'm not sure. i just remember that because i couldn't believe JDS said that because of how he always put on his nice guy act. the way he said it too was kinda crazy because he looked so passionate almost angry about it in a restaurant lol

EDIT: i found the video and timestamped it. he said he's not a man because he gives up, and he said he pretended to be hurt vs Carwin lmao. of all of his fights JDS thought he was pretending vs Carwin, amazing.

He specifically mentioned the Carwin fight because it was recent at the time. But go back and watch Mir in his losses up to that point. He would essentially turtle up and just wait for the ref in nearly all of his losses. As soon as the ref steps in, he'll pop up and nonchalantly walk to his corner. Basically he was saying Mir would quit at the first sign of adversity and that JDS wouldn't have a problem with him.

yes, but it's because he'd gas so hard. his cardio was absolute shit. it's not like he could've gone on and still fought but just quit out of fear. anyway, my point was that fighters perpetuate the "you're a pussy if you tap/give up" and JDS and Nog talking about it was an example of how fighters think exactly the same thing fans do. i just don't think fans are in a position to mock/criticize/ridicule someone like Frank Mir when they haven't experienced a beating of that kind of magnitude.

i used to be like that when i was younger too. thinking less of people who quit, but over the years of watching combat sports and probably growing older and maturing somewhat, i realized you never know what the guy tapping is going through. he might be really hurt, he might have a brain bleed, he might be going into shock etc., nobody knows. so i don't judge it anymore.

it’s a weird one for sure, looks like his legs are shutting down but because he didn’t lose posture when he got tagged it was super delayed. every time he bounces he doesn’t rise again until he’s overbalanced and goes al the way over. the weirdest part to me is why he hits the ground and looks unconscious. did the whiplash actually put him out

Deffo a reason to get a look under the hood. Not a great look
