Weidman vs. Cormier @ LHW - Who wins?

Cormier because he's huge. He's a much bigger man, he's the biggest LHW right now, even bigger than Jones. Jones is taller but Cornier is much bigger
 
I actually think Weidman takes it. I don't think DC would be able to take nor keep Weidman down, and I think Weidman's standup and length would get him the victory.
 
I think DC takes it since I believe that he has better wrestling and cardio. I doubt Weidman's ability to deal with a pressure wrestler of that caliber, which there are thankfully few of at MW.
 
Cormier.... the guy is freaking strong. He has manhandled everyone he has faced not named JBJ.

I think that a guy who slammed Josh Barnett would not have much problem outwrestling a Middleweight.
 
Weidman could definitely pot shot him from distance, and negate the wrestling of DC (does not have better wrestling, but enough so that he doesn't get rag dolled like AJ).

But honestly, I'd favor DC. DC is a monster at LHW. Like, final boss of a video game status if Jones wasn't around.

Comes down to who implements their game plan the best. Longo vs. Mendez.

I agree that he's probably a better wrestler and would win a wrestling match. But in an MMA fight I don't think the skill difference in wrestling is big enough for Cormier to be able to consistently control Weidman. And outside of wrestling, I honestly think Weidman is better everywhere else.

He has a bigger frame, and is taller with a longer reach. I don't think Weidman would even give up that many pounds were they to fight at the same weight, if any at all.
 
Definitely a competitive fight that would go to the distance, would probably favor Cormier
 
Cormier is a far superior fighter, and Chris will not have an advantage anywhere (including the size advantage he holds over most MWs right now).

Would love to see this fight. It's a toss up. Can DC hug him long enough to grind out a victory?
