Anyway I dont think Silva was dumb in his performance w Weidman. He was getting beat,and resorted to antics and tactics to con his way back into the fight,and it was working to some extent.
Weidman (and the crowd) wasnt sure what the fuck Anderson was doing. With that He was able to slow it down and get his leg kicks from range. When he did get tagged,he would keep pretending like it didnt bother him,so that Weidman would either be pensive and stay out of range,or get frustrated charge recklessly and get countered.
Both those things were happening,but Silva missed the counter when Weidman charged,and still was able to dodge everything until that wild backhand.
Imho Weidman was better than Silva in this fight,but Silva's experience and art of deception almost turned the whole thing around for him.
