Weed is harder to quit than alcohol - Jon Jones

Smoke multiples times a day for the last 10+ years. Have stopped cold turkey for past 4 months without a struggle. This is just me tho.

Lying is his biggest addiction, if he could stop that, I would be truly impressed..but judging by this podcast he is still balls deep into that addiction.

The hangovers make alcohol easier to quit.

Alcohol is physically awful to get off of.

With weed its the repetition of doing it regularly that gets addicting. It can become a significant portion of your time and it can be hard to make lifestyle changes.

I think when people say that they are referring to the fact that it's not physically addictive, so no physical withdrawals. It's addictive in the sense that it's fun to do and if you do it a lot you will become accustomed to doing it and will want to continue, pretty much the same way Porn, Video games, and Junk food can be addictive.

It's got nothing on real drug addictions though, quitting marijuana can be hard but it's not really a life altering experience the way quitting real drugs is.

Its habit-forming.

Anything can be "addictive" once you develop a habit for it.

Of course, whichever one he quit properly, was the hardest one. ..

In the grand scheme of things it is obvious that Jones isn't or wasn't an alcoholic. Alcohol withdrawal is one of only two drug types that you can die from during a withdrawal You can smoke cannabis all you want and never have to worry about DT's.

I never found it addictive, and I smoked a metric fuckton.

As I got older, I smoked less and less, until one day I realized I wasn't smoking at all any more.

In all the years I smoked marijuana, I never once had a "holy crap I need some" moment. Not once. As a cigarette smoker, I had that feeling twenty times a day.

So when I say I wouldn't call marijuana addictive, that's where I'm coming from. Make of it what you will.
Jones feels like he did the hardest one, it was a "tremendous achievement ".

Of course, he knows he can't quit booze, so he tells himself he's got than one down pat. Even preempted any public outcry by saying he's gonna keep drinking. In his good guy white teenager voice.

No no no. I have been told over and over by stoners like Rogan and Bravo that weed is not addictive. So get out of here with your own personal experiences.
I wouldn't say it was addictive. I liked the feeling, but never had to have it after I quit. I would say it is the easiest if not one of the easiest drugs to quit.

This is my true addiction.
raw

I can't stop. No matter how hard I try. Someone, PLEASE HELP ME!

Joe asked him what was harder to quit and he said weed. I believe you get mentally addicted to it not so much physically but I don't even think alcohol causes withdrawal symptoms. But he said he felt better once he quit weed. Do you agree?
Real alcohol addiction comes with severe withdrawal symptoms; seizures, and just about every imaginable symptom of the flew multiplied. To even compare the symptoms is truly ignorant. Weed withdraw likely comes with symptoms similar to quitting cigarettes.

John had an alcohol habit, but it doesn't mean he was physically addicted to alcohol. Doctors make this distinction. If he had been, then he would have known that even by medical standards, withdrawal from weed is nowhere near the same thing as the withdrawal symptoms of an alcoholic.

Alcohol withdrawal can be just as serious a medical condition as heroin withdrawal. You don't just feel cranky, and you can't sleep for a couple of weeks. Your life is at risk if you try, and withdrawal without medical attention.

I used to blaze for 15 years almost. Quitting really wasn't so bad but still miss it. (how am I supposed to clean the house sober, its barbaric)
I have kids and a job that matters. The minute the kids are out of the house I will.....

eat a ton of mushrooms, smoke some real green, and drink a ton.

Get high at nighttime or on weekend/special occasions. Eat edibles. Nothing wrong with it

The one harder to quit is the one you have an addiction to, obviously...

Weed addiction is real... if you think it's not you're just a dumb new smoker.

BUT if you have an ALCOHOL addiction it is MUCH WORSE.

Weeds toll on the body is small compared to alcohol, it is not even close.

I just don't need weed to be exciting

I'm too lazy to find the context of your post. But motherfuckers don't smoke to get exciting. We smoke weed because shit is boring son!
