One fact that really drives home how primitive we are as a species right now is that we have not discovered a single moon outside of our solar system. Really puts into perspective how little we know about exoplanets when we are incapable of discovering a single exomoon. We know those moons exist probability wise we are just incapable of detecting them.

Exoplanets as a concept are younger than the UFC. Yet some are talking about traveling to them when we just gained the ability to confirm their existence.

To your point, TS, I am amazed by both how much we know, but also how little we know. We can detect objects in space light years away, but have little knowledge about what lies at the bottom of our own oceans.

We don't even know much of what's going down in our deep oceans. There is plenty of things we don't know on earth, how much more our solar system, galaxies or the universe.

We murder children because of their skin pigmentation or because of where their parents choose to worship. We spend billions on pet projects of politicians while some of our children go to bed hungry or sleep in cardboard boxes and this is the one fact that really drives home how primitive we are as a species?

How much shit do you want people to pretend to know about a picture of a spec of light gazillions of miles away?
