We finally get to see how a freak NBA A-level slam dunk champ athlete does in combat sports

Perpetually insecure MMA fans lol. When did American men become such weak pussies?
I didnt grow up with men so desperate for affirmation.
The shit is as, it’s like little kids desperate for the thinnest evidence to wrap their emotions around.
Go up and down the homepage, the threads just reek of insecurity, no other sports fans are so inadequate.

Let’s see
-50+ page LeBron James thread
-a level athlete thread
-wwe cm punk thread
-who’s more marketable
-Chechen leader shit
- how many followers a fighter has thread
-a fighter looking “THICC”

No other sports fans talk about shit like this! Lol

lol that fight was such a work to further Paul's career and make him a ppv draw for this promoter/sponsors.

Generally when people take a dive, they don't sell it to the degree of getting their clock definitively cleaned. Much easier to take a dive off a weak punch than let someone turn your head into a canoe. It was a squash match, not a dive.

Americans and their embarrassing obsession with thinking guys who throw balls can fight. It's cringey, yes they'd kick the average guys ass but anyone with a bit of training turns them out.

This

I’m not sold on Jake Paul until I see him against a legit Instagram influencer.

Yea because all boxers start off their careers like Lomachenko and fight world champions in their debut? Get your head out of your ass and realize that the kid isn't as bad as you'd hope. You can dislike him for how he behaves because most do, but he obviously takes boxing seriously. Been training with BJ Flores for over a year and ran a camp with Shane Mosely. His IQ is solid, and his technique is there. He doesn't rush in like an idiot, he picks his shots. 8 landed punches and I'm sure Nate will be in the hospital later with a diagnosed concussion.

It's almost like if you have unlimited time and income you can achieve whatever you want as long as you are not lazy.

Not saying Jake doesn't train hard, just saying he has a lot in his favor. You would expect someone young motivated and in shape to do well with the best training money can buy

Who remembers when that African comedian in Japan knocked that NFL dude out in about a minute, literally put him in a coma with an overhand. Americans and their embarrassing obsession with thinking guys who throw balls can fight. It's cringey, yes they'd kick the average guys ass but anyone with a bit of training turns them out.
Yeah, Johnny Morton at K1 Los Angeles. I was there live. Event took on a different tone seeing a non fighter get brutally koed and carried out on a stretcher. Lesnar debuted later that night.

I am right in remembering that the guy who flatlined him was just some African dude who was a comedian in Japan right? I mean he had obviously trained a bit but the idea of a comedian brutally KOing a AAA athlete was funny.

Literally none of that is in the boxing forum, what are you talking about?

He was a legit fighter but also a comedian/ TV personality in Africa(?) I think his name was Bernard Ackh or something. Had a legit Kickboxing background with ring experience. The only thing Morton did that resembled a fighting skill was shoot in on a blast double woth zero set up and drive Bernard across the canvas. But it looked like he was pushong the sled pads in Spring training and had no idea how to finish the takedown. Once Bernard got distance he slept his pretty quick. Oh, I do remember now; after the failed TD by Johnny he started throwing haymakers and seemed comfortable to exchange. Bernard countered him easily and he went down like 9/11.
Edit: Found his fight finder page. Damn K1 gave him Melvin Manhoef his very next match.https://m.sherdog.com/fighter/record/Bernard-Ackah-21493

8 punches landed, 2 knockdowns, out fucking cold.

IDC what yall wanna say about Jake Paul but that kid isn't a joke in boxing. He's technical, he's got a good boxing IQ. He knows how to close the rush and land the appropriate shot. Jake has been training with BJ Flores and ran a camp with a legend in Sugar Shane.
I mean...if he was like 12.

You are missing the point. People don't think LeBron could switch to MMA and woop everyone. The point about A level athletes is that IF they had trained MMA/fighting instead of the sport they are in (NFL/NBA), they would be both skilled at fighting and have monstrous athleticism.

like anything, if you dont really train you're gonna suck. How is this a surprise to anyone?

So you could beat up a 12 yo right? Bet Jake would floor your ass lmao

But you're a sherbro so I'm assuming you're gonna tell me you're a 6'4 245lb stud athlete who has KO'd many pros before.

Nah I mean like his skills and ceiling in the sport of boxing. If he was performing the way he does against absolute nobodies as he is now when he was 12, in a real system, he might have a future as an actual fighter. As it stands its just a fucking spectacle. Not even hating, get paid I don't care. Conor/Youtube kid streaming live on instagram/facebook coming up next.

Lomo didn't started his career with world champ in the ring.
Of course for ppl in forums amateurs doesn't mean a bare sh***.
He was 2 time world ammy champ and Olympic Gold medalist before turned to a pro.
Therefore he get fast track in pros to earn with him more until he will get too old to earn with him money.

In his debut means in his pro debut. I know plenty well about Lomo. My point was that his pro debut was for a WBO title. The point is that you work your way up and everyone does it differently. But people trying to give Jake shit for KOing another man unconscious in his 3rd ever fight knowing damn well their favorite boxer was fighting soup cans in their third ever fight.
