Most of the fan polls on various sites voted for Nate as the #1 replacement choice.

The fans spoke - McG listened. :D

Was Pettis in those polls, and are you sure a bunch of ZUFFA shills weren't on those sites just clicking Nate 24/7.

Just like when Floyd had that poll on his next match up, and somehow a bunch of people picked a Maidana rematch, when everyone wanted to see an Amir Khan fight.

Pettis is on a 2 fight losing streak.

Nate just had a great performance dispatching Michael Johnson who is no joke pretty impressively. Right now, Nate is the more appealing fight.

I'm sure if they did pick Pettis, people would bitch and say things like "Conor is fighting a guy on a 2 fight losing streak??!? He should've fought Diaz!"

In conclusion, regardless who they picked, there would still be whining and complaining.

Pettis would have been the easier fight. Look at how easily Alvarez took care of him.

Not saying Pettis would have been a good fight by he just got beat and looked terrible in his last fight.

No matter who McGregor fights, bitches gonna bitch.

He could fight Robbie Lawler and you would say he is ducking Holloway 2.0.

Pettis lost to the champ, and got wall and stalled against Eddie. Oh yeah, and he's a former champ for god's sake. He took out the guy that beat Nate like he owed him money in 1 round, and finished the other guy that's supposed to fight Conor, Cowboy like he was an ant.

Miss me with that 2 fight losing streak BS. Nate's been beaten down so bad by 3 fighters, and he's 2-3 in his last 5. And MJ JUST lost to Dariush for God's sake.

    This was an easy decision.

Easy win for what? 10-15 million lol easy decision.

Then headline UFC 200 to break UFC 100's PPV record when you can hold the UFC hostage for 20-30 million dollars since Rousey isn't fighting on the card? lmao Easy decision folks Business 101.

Bro, he got wall n stalled. Conor does not wall n stall lmao. You guys understand how fighting works? Pettis vs. Conor is way more fire works, and the much more competitive fight. Nate's just gonna follow him around the cage, and get picked apart for however long it lasts.

Conor fans all chose the guy who wasn't in a camp or in fight shape. They figure Nate's been laying on the couch smoking.

LMAO Diaz has been beat down 3x alrady, and his feet are as slow as mollasses. And Pettis would kick Conor's ribs in or kick his head off. Stop defending this BS.

Pettis can't box very well and doesn't deal with pressure well either.
