Nah I agree with your point, just not using Black in comparison to Slavic people. It's more comparable to use his ethnicity. So if he was born in NZ he would no longer be Yoruba?

Sorry to be a pain, I still dont understand (forgive the ignorance).
So is Dagestan almost a seperate country just under the Russian banner?
To put it simply for myself lol
So if elizeu zaleski becomes champion we will have the first brazilian-slavic champion? Cool.
So some of the fighters you list like Volk dont even identify as being Slavic, are now Slavic.
Sherdog really knows how to write a narrative.
There are a ton in quebecWhat??? No rednecks in Iowa, Montana or Ohio ??

There are a ton in quebec
lmao..... nice try!Not really, no.
Its so weird how americans see nationality and culture lol, there are guys that have their grandad from ireland and still clame to be irish lol, the only slavic guy from your list is petr yan and blachowicks
Stipe doesn't even speak croacian, he's the most american blue collar guy ever, if we gonna call everyone who has slavic anscestry an slavic champion than we might as well do this with the rest, wo we have no american champions anymore, only irish or german champions. Having an foreigner name doesn't mean much as well, both my dad and grandad had italian names and surnames, are they italian? No they're brazilain and don't know shit about italy or the italian languageBeing Slavic is partly ethnicity and partly shared cultural customs and language group.
Migrating to a different country doesn't change your ethnicity.
Miocic is slavic in ethnicity for sure since both of his parents are croatian. His name is distinctively croatian and he even goes there regularly.
Valentina is slavic no question even more so than Yan probably since he has one chinese grandparent.
But yeah Vol was born in australia to a macedonian father, greek mother and doesnt seem to show much connection to his parents countries so that one is a little dubious.

I think it has more to do with the amount of culture you have in you. In Izzy's case he can speak the language and grew up in a Nigerian household which means family education, tradition, etc is still ingrained in him. In Volk or Stipe's case it's not very clear that they have any sort of bond with their heritage like Izzy, hence the comparison. So Izzy is no longer black because he's from Australia?
In Stipe's case its really clear if you follow his social media.I think it has more to do with the amount of culture you have in you. In Izzy's case he can speak the language and grew up in a Nigerian household which means family education, tradition, etc is still ingrained in him. In Volk or Stipe's case it's not very clear that they have any sort of bond with their heritage like Izzy, hence the comparison.
Sounds Irish but Iam not really versed in irish last names.
They are paternally mostly descend from the Slavic mgirants to the Balkans in the 6th century though (Hence why they contain high amounts of I2a and R1a) for the most part though. They still have mixed with the locals though but paternally they are Slavic for the most part.Lol
None of them is true Slav apart from Jan
I say it as a Slav so GTFO
His family are first generation immigrants.Granted but I also don't think he applies to this argument without knowing when his family moves to Aus.
With that logic theres never been ethnically an American champ as no champ has been Native American.
I get others but Volk is kinda clutching at straws.
Stipe grew up in a Croatian household...I think it has more to do with the amount of culture you have in you.
