LMAO what a bunch of horseshit. Maybe you know a few muslim women who tell you they're happy with their lot in life. Hell, maybe they are, IDK. But I work with 2 (one Pakistani, one from Yemen) who are now in the US who tell a very different story. They actually did NOT love being looked at as subservient and below men in importance. The lady from Yemen has 2 sisters that she's desperately trying to get here too because of what life is like for them.
I'm not gonna lie, I've never been to either place and pretty much have to take their word for it, but I tend to believe them. And I'm in my 40's with a wife and kid so you can save the "Herp derp you live in your parents basement" nonsense. I don't claim to know everything about every part of the world, but if the stuff these women say is true, it's not "sjw white knighting" or whatever, it's pretty ass backward.
The thing is, without Sharia law, the women you are talking about can still live their subservient life if they choose, right? Nobody would tell them "Nope, sorry, you need to show some leg in public now, talk to men publicly that aren't your husband, demand to be viewed as equals, etc.". They'd have the choice to live like that, or to choose to live with a less stone-aged mindset. But in plenty of places, they don't get the choice.
