WBO orders Usyk to defend against

For those that feel Dubois owes them a personal explanation, here’s his trainer on why he had to pull out and all the money he lost (and additional moneys he had to pay out) due to not being able to fight

Meh. Parker's got him shook! Dubois and Usyk have been ducking him for years… or something.

So he’s ducking a fighter who he actually chose to fight? Laughable nonsense. And If you think he should turn down a rematch with Usyk (if that’s what’s on offer) instead of rescheduling the Parker fight, then you’re a fucking idiot! A chance at being undisputed and far bigger purse, or defending against your voluntary challenger. I don’t need to spell out what any fighter would chose!

Are you really comparing an out of shape, no camp bakole to Dubois? Bakole has yet to actually beat anyone contender level. Dubois just knocked out anthony Joshua!

Dubois wasn’t the only late withdrawal due to illness so I’m assuming your calling schofield a duck as well. Or maybe Stephenson is the duck for not confirming that that he’s rescheduled the fight. According to you dubois is a coward! So you think he’s scared to share the ring with the guy he chose to fight? He’s been in with far scarier guys than joe Parker.
alright lets keep things above board to keep it fair - i am biased against Dubois. I think the guy has been handled with kid gloves his whole career up until the Hrgovic fight. he was headbutting Hrgovic so much i thought it was a Lethwei fight. and he low blowed Usyk a bunch of times that didnt get called by the ref.

the only reason he has a belt is because the IBF gifted it to him after Usyk relinquished it. when Fury-Usyk 2 SHOULD HAVE been for undisputed. thats not entirely Dubois' fault - its on the IBF for fucking that up, but he didnt win it in the ring, so to me he's not a legit champ. shouldnt even have a belt. the AJ knockout is the best win on his resume, and its a great win. but to me, beating Miller/Hrgovic/AJ is less impressive than beating Wilder/Zhang/Bakole like Parker did.

i will be really disappointed if Dubois beats Usyk.

on a related note, Parker just called out Usyk. <lmao>

and i dont really care about Shakur or anything related to him. that guy lost me as a fan a while back.

Usyk could take Dubois undisputed championship fight before Joseph Parker WBO mandatory defence

WBO president Gustavo Olivieri told Sky Sports: "The WBO ordered the enforcement of its mandatory in the heavyweight division, Usyk-Parker, to be discharged accordingly."

But he added: "Not withstanding the foregoing, if a petition is lodged with the WBO requesting that the mandatory be 'stayed' until the unification takes place, that is a decision to be rendered by the Championship Committee.

"Per the discretion conferred to the Committee by our governing regulations, such request may be granted."

PS. Otherwise known as WBO Regulations - Section 1(b) Clause 5. Been saying it all along.

Dude, you think beating zhang, wilder and no camp bakole is a better run than Dubois last 3??? I’m honestly lost for words! It’s even debatable as to whether Parker’s last 3 wins are better than kabayal. Kabayal has looked better, and fought 3 fully fit fighters.

Koing Joshua is better than those 3 wins combined, and better than anything in joes resume by a country mile! Parker best win was his close decision against zhang. Hrgovic also beat zhang but that’s not a good win for Dubois lol? That imo is Parker’s only contender level win these last 3 fights. Bakole should never have been in there with no camp or sparring, and wilders a protected can that fought no one in 50 fights other than fury, until the saudi money exposed him

I'm also more impressed by what Dubois has done lately and I don't even like him (he's dirty af). Two of his last 3 wins were against undefeated opponents and he stopped them all. His recent run has been so impressive that he was selected as a candidate for Fighter of the Year by The Ring & BWAA. Usyk really wants to rematch him next so that's most likely what will happen. Parker can be next for the winner.

I’m not a fan of Dubois either (though I don’t dislike him). Outside of usyk there is no doubt he has the best 3 fight win streak at HW. I confidently picked hrgovic and Joshua to beat him. They weren’t difficult decisions, even though I got them both wrong lol.
And I stand by my previous post as I think kabayal has been even more impressive than Parker. I don’t think he’s a dark horse in this division, I think he’s a real problem for everyone outside of usyk. I take nothing away from joe, he’s had the best run of his career and they’re all good names, but he’s not the only guy fighting and beating contenders

I agree. Kabayel handled Zhang easier than Parker and actually put him away. While he did get dropped Parker was dropped twice and only won a close decision. If we look at Parker's last few wins objectively they're not as impressive as they look on paper. Bakole had no camp and had already been stopped, Zhang is in his 40s, has no stamina, and had already lost a controversial decision to Hrgovic, and Wilder had already been wrecked by Fury twice.

Wilder was not thought of as a protected can when he fought Parker - thats revisionist history! he had just had that trilogy with Fury and had just KO'd Helenius in the 1st round previously - someone AJ took 7 rounds to knock out. he was viewed as flawed, but very dangerous as a result of that missile right hand. he was the favorite going into the fight! then Parker neutralized and outboxed him. THEN everyone was saying he was washed up. dont retroactively say "i told ya so" when nobody was saying that prior to when Wilder fought Parker.

Hrgovic beat Zhang and that decision is still debated to this day. i see opinions online saying it shouldve went to Zhang. while watching it live, i thought the same thing, but it is what it is. and yeah, Dubois constantly headbutting Hrgovic and not getting called for it is pretty egregious, no?

Bakole was game enough to step up on 2 days notice, more game than Dubois for sure. if he had won, everyone would be clamoring to praise him.

Dubois is a good fighter but he should not be a champ right now. he only has his belt because a sanctioning body gave it to him. if ya dont win the belt in the ring, i dont think of you as a champ in the same way as someone who does win a belt in the ring, end of story.

Kabayel's destined to be the odd man out here. the guy is a great fighter but he's not as popular as Dubois or Parker so i think opportunities for him might be harder to come by.
i hope he doesnt get stalled out. he brings a fighting style that isnt seen often at HW and its refreshing.

He's on the obscure side so I could see him being the odd man out. I'm not sure many would be willing to voluntarily fight him. Fortunately for him they may not get a choice. He's the WBC interim champ which means he's mandatory. If Usyk is still around when it's called then they'll fight.
