Danny was a true warrior that left everything in the ring, an inspiration to everyone he met.

I hope he leads a long and successful life outside the ring. He is an absolute gentleman and also the owner of my most favoured drinking establishment, I'd like to extend to Danny my most warm and sincerest thanks....thanks for the memories.

Here's a HL clip of his fight with scrappy New Zealander Sean Sullivan. After this fight, Danny apologised to the crowd (thinking he'd lost) and promised he'd come back a better fighter in his next fight...he was then taken to hospital and treated for dehydration.
