Watching Struve fight just makes shake your head

dude is exciting as hell to watch, im sick and tired of sherdoggers shitting on him. He was by far the most active HW on th roster and yeah he got creamed 4 times but he won 8 or 9 other fights. Hes not a can. Struve is a nice kid with a HUGE heart and always puts on a show.

no one is shitting on Struve or calling him a can. All some are saying is that he needs to tighten up defense. He's still young, but in damage taken, he could get old real quick.

His defence is awful not just the fact he cant use his reach. Hunt caught him with his hands down and even after being caught he still didn't attempt to cover up.

His fights are entertaining, that can't be denied. But sadly it looks like he could use a dose of good ol' GJ.

It really does. I mean hed kick my ass in a minute i don't like criticizing fighters like this. But it really does make you shake your head.

Just two things. The jab and the front kick. If he start throwing a high frequency of front kicks it would make life so much more difficult for his opponents. Even if they werent thrown full force or with perfect technique.

I agree, it's very frustrating.

People were commenting how huge he looks for the Hunt fight, how his chin is going to be better, blah blah. Same crap when Hunt tagged him like a speedbag.

Every fight I've seen him in even when he wins he takes big shots. Like the Morecraft fight. He was very lucky to win that one.

He really needs to dump his training camp and go with someone that makes him effectively use his reach. He fights like he is a foot smaller than guys when he is really a foot taller with decent speed.

His grappling is even reckless and he takes shots there.

PS.: what happened against Hunt? He just lowered his hands. Was he too tired to keep them up or tried to pull an Anderson? If the latter, not very wise against Hunt.

He should train with Schilt/Klitschko/JBJ or whoever can teach him how to capitalize on his reach. That would make a big difference.

He uses his reach really well on the ground but he seems to want to insist on striking. He's be much better off just taking fights to the ground instead of waiting for his opponent to do so.

So overrated imo. Im 181 cm tall, fat, swedish "not viking lol" and I would fight him any day. And I have never trained any mixed martial arts, just saying. Dont be scared homie.
