The show was/is hilarious to me and one of the all-time great TV shows. Just 3ish years since it's finale and I can't see a comedy like this coming along again. Shows that project pushing boundaries (like Modern Family) really arent - they're riddled with PCness. South Park is the only other show that's still off the rails as far as the PC police would go but it's always been a late-night (Comedy Central) gig unlike The Office which was on NBC.

Watching TO again on Netflix I'm wondering how they pulled it off for 8 years in this day and age (of course while I'm splitting my sides laughing). I really think shows that poke fun at minorities and majorities alike (even hipsters Jim and Pam weren't left unjabbed by the last few seasons) are going to go way of the dodo.

And its not that I agree with everything the show did. But season 3 episode 3 might be the funniest television episode of all time.

Again, in the PC climate we're in I see freedoms of expression getting shut down more and more not the other way around.

I still just watch Married with Children when I want to watch a sitcom. GOAT sitcom eva.

Quit watching network TV years ago.

I've been done with network sitcoms for years now. Even really popular shows like Big Bang Theory and Modern Family are lame and unfunny to me. Last one I enjoyed was Scrubs.

If you havent seen The Office and you have Netflix, watch it - trust me (it might take a few episodes to "get") but its up there in GOAT conversation.

I do agree that MWC is up there too. I don't think they'd make it today honestly.

Have you watched The Office from the beginning through? Its off the charts.

I agree that The Big Bang Theory and Modern Family suck.

Family Guy, and American Dad are the only 2 patriarch based shows left on TV.

Definitely would not be allowed today.

I forget, I can't say I don't watch network TV, because of Seth McFarlane.

Reality television used to be much more raw as well. I had a kid and some major down time so the wife and I watched some really old seasons of The Amazing Race. Wow. The language was so much more brutal. Contestants calling each retards, people pointing out racial shit, and all sorts of things that would freak PC tards out now.

It is sad we are trending in such a sanitized and censored direction.

Actually I haven't seen The Office at all, my buddy swears it's the best show ever though perhaps I should check it out.

Maybe we will end up living in a demolition man type society.

Each time the electronic monitoring system detects you saying something not PC, you get credits docked from your account.

I've been watching the office lately too- one of my favorite shows. Dwight is probably my favorite character, especially when he finally was able to take Michael's spot.

Everyone Loves Raymond I like that show too, Home Improvement was a classic as well.

I think there was a golden age that we didn't even know happened - the peak of which came and went in the last 5 or so years IMO. I see everything getting shut down hard in the next short while. Even the accessability of information on the internet (and not talking about the garbage).

Haha, agreed about Dwight. He took awhile for me to "get."

As I said earlier, season 3 episode 3 might be the GOAT episode. It might be the one you're talking about.

If there's a show I'd recommend this is it. Also, I'd seen episodes here and there but didn't get it fully until watching it from beginning to end on Netflix.

I was reading some stuff about Sweden. If someone posts a comment on a news story that is critical of immigrants or feminists and someone finds out they will be fired from their jobs. Like if a Swedish man complains about the rape problem from Muslims people might very well dig into who posted it and ruin his life.

It is getting really, really scary. And all of Western society is headed in that direction. Trump is a response to the madness, but he is an idiot as well. It is going to blow up in the next twenty years.

I just hope there are not more Breviks who slaughter innocent children to make their point. That guy should have been shot dead on day one.

CBC in Canada I believe has already made it mandatory that person's real names be posted with their comments (or at least I heard that this was being strongly considered in the last few months).

Creed Bratton , best sitcom character ever , didn't have many lines but everyone he had he made count

" He was hangin some head , whats the big deal , if thats flashing lock me up and throw away the key "

what's it about it I can't recall.

The one I'm talking about is after Michael is off the show- he leaves to go to Denver with his girlfriend...honestly thought I'd lose all interest with Michael gone but Jim and Dwight stepped up there game pretty well. Will Ferrell makes a brief appearance before getting injured and then there looking for a new boss. Jim turns it down and then Jo asks Dwight to step up.

Next thing you know you have Dwight walking around with a gun on his hip and with portraits of himself all around the office like this:

...though it's short lived cause he accidentally discharges his firearm in the office. There's too many classics in the Office to keep up with. Hard to pin point a favorite episode but that one is fresh in my mind cause I just watched it the other day had me cracking up pretty good.

You know supposedly the writer was going to have someone from the office be Scranton strangler and if you look into there's little subtle hints and clues of who it might be in some of the episodes. But I guess the writer kinda scrapped that idea and didn't let any of them be it. You should check out some of the theories of who might have been the Scranton strangler.

Yeah we're heading it that direction for sure. Technology is providing new tools for social control so advances in behavioral and mass psychology and conditioning can be utilized to scary effect. Twitter, Google, Facebook, etc might as well be part of the military industrial complex because they are utilized. It's all to implement the will of the international ruling class.

It's much bigger than Trump, that's for sure.

Thats not about PC that's about people going full on retard and thats just the comments section of a government run corporation
