Was Jon Jones ever that Good?

Remove the roids, and yea, he was still good but not a serious GOAT contender.

He's got the best fight iq of any fighter in history. With all that being said I would still rather watch a reyes fight any day of the week.

I do think he fought mostly undersized mw or over the hill fighters in his early years. Still no denying hes elite though.

He's gone from a savage wrestler/G n P specialist to a non aggressive jack of all trades who does some nice bobbing and weaving.

No idea what happened to his aggression.

Greg Jackson usually gets them all.

Holy shit. I can't believe this thread was made..

Can USADA, let everyone take roids, and we'll find out.

I like this one better.

He was an undefeated younger, hungry fighter. Sometimes those are the hardest to fend off your throne.

@BFoe
images (7).jpeg Jon and Fedor' careers are basically tye same lenght, but we have never seen Jon tapping. Besides, the best fighters Fedor beat were Nog and Mark Hunt. Jon has a deeper resume and only one loss(against Reyes).

Lol! So much crying and reaching on this forum this morning, I love it.

Undefeated in the cage, but "was he ever that good". Mean while their favorite fighters have been KO'd and slept multiple times.

Keep up the tears, they taste delicious
Jones lost last night and you know it. Stop being a fucking :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:.

When there's enough tape on a divisional GOAT far into their career then even a 11-0 fighter can possibly outclass them.

Ftr, Jones/Reyes wasn't an outclassing imo but Reyes camp have clearly been preparing for JJ for years like TAM prepared Garbrandt.

jones is a shell of himself since roids, the old days when he had a guy in the clinch he was just throw them, now barely can land a takedown, cant land an elbow his whole striking is kicks

He's the most impressive fighter in the history of the sport. The Jones that beat DC in their first fight beats anyone ever IMO.

He looked like a fucking shell of himself last night, and still beat a very good fighter. Yes, he was good. Yes, he is still good, but is obviously in decline because of a combination of age, wear and tear, motivation, and a lack of PEDs in his current diet.

I just watched his fights with Vera, Hamill, and Shogun this morning..........It was like watching a different fighter. That Jones would have beat Reyes inside a couple rounds 10/10 times IMO.
