42 plus fighting the best in the division. She hasn't really had any gimme fights.

It's not so much that Holly was overrated but Ronda was overrated and Holly had a great night.

Yes. I've been saying it siince her first ufc fight which she was gifted. And, if Im not mistaking, her second fight as well. I forgot who they were against but I clearly remeber her getting away with wins she didn't earn.

Wouldn't say she was "overrated" but agree with your sentiment. I remember her first UFC win was a close SD vs. Raquel Pennington and her next was a lackluster decision against 57 year old Marion Reneau, which granted her a TS due to Ronda having cleared everyone else out.

But after she beat Ronda (which was awesome and totally worth it), IIRC Winklejohn hilariously said they had been sandbagging in her fights to lull Ronda into a false sense of security lol. In hindsight, she's lost to every elite opponent since. She just had the perfect style to capitalize on Rousey's deficiencies.

So her age was the issue not the skillset in her past fights?

Naw, she was undefeated in MMA until she was 35yo... that's about the age that most fighters start skidding.
