Was Herb Dean trying to influence the outcome of the main event?

There was something said about Merab kissing O'Malley when he was on the ground. Sean gets up, swings on Merab as the round ends, and Herb tells Merab that was his fault.
 
"arlier in the fight in round 1 Merab was yelling at O'Malley's corner cause they were trying to coach Merab and we're telling him to do things that would help O'Malley."

What does this mean, how can the other team coach Merab? Please explain as I am so confused and who was Herb mad at and has this ever happened before?

Don't see how you can disagree with that decision unless you're blind.

Merab lost rounds 3 & 5. Pretty clear to anyone who isn't biased.

If Herb was trying to help O'Malley why did he threaten to take a point from them for "fucking over coaching" and stop O'Malley submission attempt because of a finger in the glove?
Seems he did alot more to help the new Champion.

So you honestly think Herb Dean woke up and said you know what I’m going to sway a fight so everyone can see? Being as you probably understand the situation a tad more involved than this how would retiring him do a damn thing in this context?

It happens every week. Ok this corrupt ref is trying to influence the fight for O'Malley but has has enough honour to call out blatant cheating like over coaching (as never before seen in MMA). Conveniently ignored a blatantly illegal knee merab threw no taking position no warning.

Herb dean who can't blatantly allow cheating meanwhile watched Oliveira sub Poirier with the use of a glove grab. Herb dean who allowed Conor McGregor as many glove and cage grabs as he wanted.

But yes he can't allow it last night because although he's trying to help O'Malley it's not something he can allow.

Hypothetically if Herb was paid to sway things towards and standing affair which all likelihood is IF any shenanigans went down that’s what happened he did a fine job. O’Malley didn’t give him a clean enough window to stand it up. He was virtue signaling to OMalley to stalemate a little longer so he could stand things up if anything. As far as temporarily stopping the fight because of the kissing and letting Merab get hit then blaming him, that’s a firable offense imo

The fighter was complaining to the ref about it, kind of hard to ignore it at that point. You act like Herb did something unprompted which he didn't. O'Malley was playing the game, Herb had also just told Merab that O'Malley wasn't downed so that was kind of on Herb so hard to punish a fighter for throwing an Illegal knee when Herb just said he wasn't downed and O'Malley was playing g the hand down game.

Right back at you. You ignore the sequence of events as if they are irrelevant. Herb didn't tell O'Malley to stop cheating till Merab complained about the glove grabbing, he didn't tell his corner to stop cheating till Merab complained about it. Merab didn't throw the knee till Herb said he wasn't downed then O'Malley put his hand back down after Merab started throwing the knee, he was trying to game the rules and the refs constantly say if you play that game then it's on you.
