Was Bendo’s Toothpick the most badass in cage gimmick

Marinovich s & c Penn was something else.

It exudes an air of casualness and confidence that fighting isn't already enough risk. It's something you can't believe until you see it. It's just something he did all the time and not something he did to be cool. That makes it cooler.

Holloway's hands-down no-look vs Katar was the most badass one-off for me, if that's a gimmick. Another that blew my mind was Tony doing a Showtime Punch against Showtime, when the commentary was questioning his knee's condition shortly before that.
Genki Sudo dancing in the cage is badass to me. Just doing his own thing. More badass in any culture where some men think they'll turn gay or have an accidental sex change if they dance (imagine how short the transgender waiting lists would be if it was that easy to lose your manhood).

However, the most badass repeated gimmick is Jon Jones going out of his way to beat guys at their own game.

It's maybe not in cage but the best is just watching Dom Cruz writh around when Keith is reffing. He's using all his self control to not call Keith a bastard man

I would agree with that on Jones however being the one weirdo fighting with a toothpick is the stuff of legend

I don't think his toothpick gimmick ever struck me as badass at all. It always had me a little concerned it would get stuck his throat. For a single word label, I'd call it stupid.
Him doing it seemed to give him his cool and focus so I can’t say stupid. Bendo was just different

Do explain why him doing that which brought him his sense of cool and focus would be cringe to you

It used to be a common thing in old movies or cartoons (mobsters, cowboys, or tough guys), but in modern times, it feels outdated and unnecessary. It looks cringe because it often comes off as trying too hard to look cool or nonchalant, but instead, it just feels forced. Unless you are a redneck.

Or an individual that relies on the most intense focus imaginable so using it like a stress reliever or nerve relaxer while keeping dead focus is the bad ass part. He took something he needed to relax himself in a fight and used it so well you thought he was showboating
