Was Adesanya-Pereira 2 a jackpot kind of win?

I'm not saying a fluke or a lucky punch. It was a great counter.

I mean... by that time, Alex had already landed plenty of kicks, and Izzy was wobbled and hurt with about 30" to go of round TWO.

Pereira was up this time and could have hunted him down methodically as he uses to.

That punch when Alex went for the kill leaving his defense aside was that Dr Strange "one single chance" of winning a fight where the outcome was narrowing more and more towards another TKO, or at least was looking really bad for Izzy?

But you got to be good to take advantage of the opening Pereria gave and Izzy is. Yeah Pereria was easily winning g till then but Izzy wasn't out by any means .

I do think Pereria wins 8 of 10 but can't dimi ish that win for Izzy was a epic knock out

They are very competitive skill-wise.

Poatan generally has the bigger power, and a sharper leg kicking game.

But Izzy is not far behind him at all in terms of overall skill set.

Izzy can snipe any 185lb male on the plantet, and has the power to do it with one shot! The guy has shown incredible finishing ability, and used a setup and landed his precise counter on an opening he created with skill, not luck. Cope

No.
Pereira was drained to coal level hydration at MW. Adesanya hit him flush, precisely as he's known to do. It was a legitimate win.

I think Pereira is more skilled all over. But we won't see Adesanya purely setting up dat hook, even willing to eat leather on entry, just like we won't see Poatan running away from former WW Strickland.
They have different skills.

I do think it shows you the value of Dana Privilege, I think its pretty clear that Alex was brought into the UFC to loose to Izzy, a way for the UFC's hyped champ to beat the guy whop beat him in a good drawing fight. When Izzy lost we got the rematch fast, when izzy won it was quickly made clear there would be no third fight.

Thast why I'v taken great pleasure in Alex's sucess and Izzy's career imploding since then.

He closed his eyes and wildly threw a haymaker with no clue where it was going and it landed

That is the literal epitome of a fluke and a one in a million KO, it is what it is, look at where Pereira is at now and look at Izzy lol

At the end of the day we know who really won

Pereira got lucky in 2 of the 3 wins he has against Izzy. Izzy lost a decision he should have got the nod on in kickboxing. Pereira lands a fluke punch after losing 4 rounds in their 1st fight in MMA.

Izzy finally took the horseshoe out of Pereira's ass and beat him over the head with it lol
